Mary looked good both before and after. She just polished up her look and lost a few pounds.

The only change in Mary is she lost some pounds & got major tips from hair to wardrobe. Other than that, i think she hasnt changed much. I prefer her after look, looks more elegent & more up for a princess job

Thanks for all the pictures everyone. Most changes in princesses I'd allready seen before. But I had never really seen any old pictures of Mary. It really surprised me to see she was a bit chubby even, wow she definitely lost weight.

I read that Mary used Ole Henriksen's bleacing serum. I don't know how true it is, but Mary is clearly lighter. I don't she's naturally pale, but I guess it doesn't really matter?

I agree that she's lighter, but I think it's because she's doing less activities outdoors, for a number of reasons: she has her official engagements, many of which take place inside; she has two babies under the age of two to care for, which robs you of some of your free time, and it's chillier in Denmark, so outdoor activites are sometimes harder in the winter.

If she's using a little bleach, that's fine. Just don't go Michael Jackson on us, Mary!

I agree to the abovementioned reasons. She came from, let's say Australia (Tasmania) and now she lives in Denmark, with a considerably less friendly weather..!! How tanned can you get?

Besides the first close up one, the others aren't so bad. She looked like a normal woman. Of course, now that her financial situation is changed I expect she'd look different. If you look at her two sisters, they don't look much different than they did before. If I was Mary's sister, I'd want as much beauty advice and help as I can get! But, I guess they can't afford it? (or aren't interested)

yes it is a bit pointer, it was much more rounder before, now its finer

Mar lost a lot of weigth and now she has money to spend on clothes and she has good taste on clothes, also she should have a very good fashion adviser, btu she is natural elegant!

I was thinking the same thing.

Perhaps the change of colour is merely change of climate?

I never noticed it before but I think you're right! Her nose definitely looks different in the close-up pic than it does now. I think Mary's nose is one of her very distinctive features; cute, pert and upturned. However, I remember thinking that when I first saw her in their engagement pics so I wonder when she had surgery (if she did, in fact, have her nose done).

I agree with you on this one. Maybe she has had some sort of procedure but I think her recent complexion is due to a different lifestyle in a different climate. Being of similar age to Mary, I know it is common for women to tan when they are younger then avoid it when they reach a certain age.
