I love red, I could say almost every princesse/ queen / lady looks good in red, even on CP Masako who has different tone of skin colour to other ladies, thanks for the pictures.

I really love the queen's red coat. Wonder if I could afford one just like it?
Seriously, I wish I could.

Is it just the picture or is that really a red dress the queen is wearing in photo #1? It looks kind of tangerine orange to me. Regardless, either way it looks good.

I agree with you, rop81, the hat changes the dress into an uniform, maybe the dress of a traffic warden if it wasn't red
How do you like the dress in pic 3, in my eyes the grindings are a bit too much.

1. Carl Gustav's birthday in 1990
2. at a gala in the 1990s
3. in Germany in 1998
4. at a concert in 2004

If grindings means bows i totally agree with you, and the hat isn´t good here either...

This is my favorite royal red dress, followed by Madeleine's Nobel red dress as a close second. I love the color red! I think there is a shade that'll look good on almost everyone (except for Queen Elizabeth II - red makes her look so pale/white, almost like a corpse).

Yes, I meant "bows" of course Well, maybe that hat she wore over and over again has some special qualities we can't see at first sight, maybe it's weatherproof

Some more pics of Queen Silvia in red:
1. 2004 in Vietnam
2. 1997 in Germany
3. in Venice in the 1980s

RED on royals is nice, I like the RED they wear, its a nice RED, not a RED/orange which is unflattering. I think RED suits Queen Silvia and CP Letizia the best

Your last three findings are great, Tartucat, especially the one of Madelaine, she looks great in that combination!

Some more of Queen Silvia in red:
1. on the isle of Mainau, Germany, in the 1980s
2. in Germany, 1997
3. at a Kurdish exhibition in Stockholm, 2003
4. family portrait in the 1990s
