Julliette, I'm sure I've seen threads for individual royals recycling clothes already, but these are all I can find so maybe I'm going crazy:

Letizia (a total of one post long!)

---------

Mary has recycled a fair bit, just off the top of my head:
Opening of Parliament 2005 & State Visit from Brazil 2007
Opening of Parliament 2004 & Engagement announcement
Official Visit to Australia 2004 & State Visit from Brazil 2007
Official Visit to Australia 2004 & A wedding 2002
Gala Jan 2004 & Enagagement Dinner & King of Sweden's birthday
Romanian Gala Dinner 2004 & New Years 2008
Wedding 2002 & Priior to her own wedding 2004
This post ; And this one

More of CP Mary:

Australian visit 2004 & King of Swedens birthday (?)
The night before her wedding & Visit from Bulgaria
New york & [Laurentin]
Pre-wedding Gala &

------

There are examples of both Mary & Maxima's recycling here. They normally show you pictures of when the outfit has been worn in the past. Click on the pictures/dates to the left to see more.

-----

Recycling clothes Mathilde - this site is exactly what it sounds like, done in a blog form

-----

Sorry that I have not yet added links to all of Mary's outfits yet, I'll try to get back to them soon.

How often can a dress be recycled?

Queen Sonja shows us - one can wear a dress more then 200 times

I think no other dress in this world has been recycled more often then the yellow galagown

just a few examples

So, if you ask me: Sonja definitely wins the Queen of Recycling competition.

she definitely LOVES this dress to death, that's why she wears it so often. BTW not the best one.

Didn't queen Sonja have a salmon-coloured version of this type of dress as well which she also used a lot? There was a lot of comments about the 'salmon dress' at the glittering board at one point. Well, if she likes them - and she certainly saves a lot on her and Harald's budget....

Haha, yeah. The famous salmon dress is another of the "recycled-to-dead" dresses ... She didn't wear t for a longer while now (which somehow scares me ).

Here's another recycle-favourite of her

Or that one (I love it)

http://images.sesam.no/scanpix/previ...4/spb350d4.jpg

The blue dress actually is about 15 years old

The same goes for her suits and hats.

THanks for the pictures Her Majesty - I remember that blue dress as well.
But I think the salmon dress I was thinking of was a bit different - the same 'plissee' like fabric as the yellow one - but with huge wing-like sleeves. I have tried to google it but have not come up with any pics.

Anyway, even if queen Sonja does recycle a lot she looks nice - and appropriate But she could certainly give princess Anne a run for her money in the recycling department

Here are 2 pics of the favourite salmon

http://i29.tinypic.com/105s9yo.jpg (Scanpix)

http://www.media.allerinternett.no/p...&w=450&frame=0
(the famous wings )

This dress-jacket combination also belongs to her Top 5 recycling clothes

http://img143.imagevenue.com/img.php..._122_595lo.jpg (Vienna)

http://images.sesam.no/scanpix/previ...7/sx26c94a.jpg
http://images.sesam.no/scanpix/previ...6/sx212aeb.jpg

Or this light blue dress
(which somehow got lost .. as well as the salmon )
http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums/500035-post38.html

The while Chanel-Suit really belongs to my favourite Sonja-Recycles.
I like the fact that she wears different variations of it. ... with different skirts or pants.
http://i28.tinypic.com/25jv23t.jpg (ANP)
http://i28.tinypic.com/16k8bbn.jpg (Scanpix) - my favourite version
http://i26.tinypic.com/1zegug0.jpg (ANP)
http://i31.tinypic.com/2hx9f0n.jpg (ANP)

I think she recycles her clothes quite clever. She uses to alter them a little bit (at least the suits) and has larger spaces between the times she wears them (exept the yellow nightmare).

That's the one I was thinking off, thanks Her Majesty
I can understand why it is such a favorite of Sonja's; it's quite nice - and beats the 'yellow nightmare' as you call it!

Side2 article (scroll down for a Gallery):
En dronning på gjenbruk - Side2

I think she wears that coat every year (for the Opening of Stortinget).

Another pic of the salmon.

At the moment I think that Letizia is (from younger generation of royals).
She just start her play with recycling. Sonja is little older that Letizia so she has more time of experiment with recycling.
