The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor: Flashback Friday: Victoria at the Representation Dinners

My favorite overall is that exquisite gold gown from last year. I also love the beige gown she wore today.

My favorites:

1. Gold gown (2013)
2. Beige gown (2014)
3. White/beige gown (2009)
4. Red gown (2006)
5. Grey gown (2011)
6. Orange gown (2011)
7. Red gown (2009)
8. Red/orange gown (2008)
9. Red gown (2003)
10. Purple gown (2007)
11. Blue gown (2005)

I think the worst is the blue dress from 2001, the white and silver gown from 2010, and the white/grey gown from 2011.

Would love to hear your top 5 gala dresses of crown princess victoria of sweden not inkluded her wedding dress

1. Fadi el Koury dress worn at her sisters wedding
2. Elie Saab dress worn at her pre wedding converted
3. Per Engsheden dress worn at Nobel 2014
4. Elie Saab dress worn at Nobel 201
5. I need to think more about that

My favorite royal look is also Mary's gorgeous blue gown, without a doubt! Breathtaking...

I totally agree, without a doubt!! Exquisite.

I know she wont wear it but I would love to see that purple pink and red bright gown. With the rubies? So beautiful!!!! Its not the right gown for this event Im just sayin....

I agree with all 3 choices. Probably in that order too. Though I had forgotten about Max. To me, she would be first, Mary second, V third I think. Though they are all stunning, so it's hard to choose, and really doesn't matter.

@ rubies- Who and what ensemble are you talking about? Maxima?
 
Yes that one. It could be so regal but probably for other events.

What did she wear over the years? I've heard it was really something- as in " go big or go home".

She did- I take it you mean what she wore to the Bambi Awards, but I also adore the pink gown in look 5. Also where's Queen Max? What she wore to her brother's wedding, need I say more?

With Victoria debuting that fabulous gown I thought I'd go back a ways and see how her style evolved. Among the pethora of fantastic, gorgeous, elegant, regal . . . gowns, I found this little pearl from the Amaranther Ball March 1996:

Seems like Victoria has always had a sense of drama which I think has been mostly reigned in by her Mother but we saw it bust loose at her sister's wedding and one or two other occasions.

I have not recognized the orange Dress before - and surely she has not worn them more often, right?
I agree, there has been many "wow" and "Drama" Dresses CP Victoria surprised us with.

I don't like the orange gown- looks like a pumpkin. I don't have words for the green gown, which is hideous , IMO.
 
I like the others. And I like the skirt of Vs dress- just not the top.
 
 
CP Mary's stunning 'Bambi dress' has again climbed to the top. Once again it's a CP Mary gown which has been voted to the 'The Royal gown of the year 2014' by the readers of Billedbladet in their annual voting - and it's in the glittering dark blue sequin gown from the Danish designer Jesper Høvring (one of Mary's favourites) which Mary was wearing at the Bambi Charity Award in Berlin in November.
