For the most part Diana had the same hairsyle or variations of the same hairstyle she did grow it longer at one point but thankfully went back to the style that worked best on her and even simplefied it over the years which I think is what most women do once they find their special style they tend to keep it.Sometimes though they really should update their styles.Usually the simplier the better.

I actually liked Diana's hair longer, but I guess I'm in the minority on that one.

The majority of women, once they have kids and/or pass age thirty, look better with hairstyles above shoulder length.
It used to be a right of passage to cut a maiden's hair after her wedding as her final step into womanhood.

If Beatrix changed her hairdo, the spray industry would go bankrrupt, and the Dutch should change coins and stamps! Definitely not a good deal ghe ghe

I think Kate will also join the ranks of lifetime hairdos. After all, she's already been wearing it like that for 20 years.

Hee Hee...QFab's hairdo is legendary, isn't it! But it suits her, IMO. She is blessed with wonderful hair though, at her age.

Yes, I think the Duchess of Cambridge will keep her hair long for as long as possible and not change it. I'd go into shock if she ever turned up with short hair!
This reminds me of Sarah, Duchess of York who wore her hair long for ages and suddenly one day she cut it short and it aged her!

Princess Letizia? She changes her hair-style quite often. Curls, waves, straight, ponytails, updos... I don't think she fits into this thread...

Someone on another thread swears it is a wig. I don't believe it...HM has always had very thick hair...besides if she was wearing a wig or hair piece why would she choose a blue one...her hair is whitish/blue now!
I love Queen Fabiola though, I wouldn't care if she was bald headed.

IMHO she indeed has a wig which she occasionally uses. That is not a secret.

So, by reading here, it looks like we should actually have a Changing hairstyle thread. Most of the royal ladies, stick to the script.

The Duchess of Cambridge is on the track to "never-changing hairstyle." I can only count 3 occasions when here hair was different: her first public appearance at the christening in Wales, her wedding, and the Epsom Derby. There are probably a few others but except for the last one, the hair was worn down or at most, half up, half down and all very similar.

Ironically, the thing with having longer hair is that you can create more styles with it. I long for the day when Catherine wears a tiara again so we can see if she has her hair ornately dressed like the crown princesses do.

LOL, good idea, but I think it would be a waste of bandwidth, as the thread would be virtually empty...no one changes their hairstyle!!!!

Well, the wig thing is moot, as it's obviously the same hairstyle.
