I agree with the other posters. The Nobel Prize Gala gown worn in 2008 is the best of them all. She looked perfect in it.

My second and third choices are the Nobel bright purple and the embroidered red gown.

many thanks for these wonderful pictures and choices carlota:flowers:...the princess looked very glamorous in many of these wonderful gowns...I'd vote for the nobel prize gala 2008 gown followed by the two part, black dress embroidered in picture number 9.

Great work, putting together this collection – thank you!
Unfortunately, most gowns of Princess Victoria lack both sophistication and a designer’s craftsmanship – many are simply not very well made. Others, especially older ones, are less than flattering, and some just don’t have the inner lining and construction needed for an evening dress to photograph well.
The ‘Edwardian’ style of embroidered corsage top and voluminous skirt with train suits her, but has been repeated eternally by her favorite designer in recent years, Lasse Wallin –with varying success.
For me, the choice is easy as well. The one dress that stands out, fashionable and regal at the same time, executed with expertise and very flattering, is indeed the last one she wore, the Nobel Prize Palace gala gown 2008.
It shows how great CP Victoria can really look.

My favourite is No10,the green dress. It reminds me of the ancient Greek style and the quality of its materials is so much better than the others, which makes it wonderful.I would love to see it in other colours as well :flowers:

This muted green one is actually # 2 on my 'Best of' list!
With a very large gap following afterwards.

Boris,I respect everything you say.You seem really experienced in fashion. That's why I'm gonna ask you the following question:if you have a closer look at the Nobel prize gala 2008 dress, don't you think that it's not that well tailored?Because I have the impression that it isn't.

Carlota! What an impressive array of gowns--I know that took an incredible amount of time and I thank you for sharing!
I like these:
http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=30530&d=1071094653 this one reminds me of Mary's blue gown a little bit (the one she just wore for the New Year's Gala)

I like this one because the fabric looks nice:

This one is lovely as well: http://lottaskungligamode.blogg.se/images/2008/meravickan_23350503.jpg

But, I LOVE This one:

But, this is also a favorite because it veers from her usual style:

Great collection, carlota!
This dress (her most recent one) is my favourite! I loved her whole look that night! Hair, dress, jewels! :flowers:

How come? I think it's very well tailored...
Underneath the banded layers, there's a perfectly fitted, very tight undergarment with bustier top - the actual dress, so to speak. The bands are sewn on that dress.
It's rather difficult to keep that kind of horizontal banded look fluid when it's cut so close to the body, because it tends to appear somewhat bulky.
But here the fabric is light, the bands are in different pastel shades, and they end up as loose flowing ends in the train at the back - all this helps to make it look light and soft. It's really well made and a good design, I just wish I knew who the designer is.

Thanks for the explanation,Boris :flowers:
It's not that I'm not persuaded, but there's still something with that dress that doesn't let me consider it No1.Let's just say it could be my No2 :)

Thanks for the pictures! She is stunning in the 2008 Nobel Prize gala gown. It also shows off her great figure!

I was so surprised today to see Demi Moor wearing the C.Dior "gala dress" Victoria wore.It wasn't strapless, though. It formed an "X" under the neck and she wore it at the Golden Globes :flowers:

my pleasure for posting them!

i'd say the best ever was the pink nobel 2008 gown, it looked absolutely gorgeous and victoria looked just perfect in it. i hope she makes more appearances with similar ones. it was her perfect dress!

other ones that i liked:

ANP Beeldbank (quite eyecatching and different from her usual style)

the dresses i liked best were

Golden nobel dress
Silver with shawl
Luxbemburg pink dress

P Victoria looks very feminene in the Golden Nobel dress

Just for the record:
The 'Golden Nobel dress' is silver-beige and was worn at a 750-year-anniversary of Stockholm event, not for any Nobel-related occasion.

Green Danish wedding dress is the favourite to me.

Does anyone happen to know the designer for this dress?

Oh my, I'd like to know as well who committed the crime and made the 'Frog Dress'... tastes differ, and that one is definitely one of my least favorite dresses of Victoria. A negligée see-through overcoat over a shapeless, strapless frock underneath, and all in the ugliest shade of yellowish green...
I'm eternally grateful that she never wore it again.

Wow! What a great collection you put together for us. THANK YOU so much for taking the time to accumulate and post all of these. Also, the collection of pictures shows how much she has changed over the years, and bounced back so well from eating disorder.

I personally like the two part embroidered black dress with the b/w lace top and duchess satin black skirt. To me, it's a very Spanish look, and a look that she carries off very well. My second favorite is the shaded/graded black dress from last year's Nobel. It shows off her shoulders very nicely.

My personal favorite in recent times isn't shown (unless I missed it). I believe it was the dress she wore to the second Nobel gala night. Champagne colored basically made up horizontal strips of the fabric. It was strapless and she wore it with a great strand of pearls and something in her hair if I recall. She looked fantastic that night!

She really is a lovely young woman but she does need to branch out and try a few new styles. Maybe something columnar and one-shouldered? But I don't think she is really that interested in fashion to the extent that we would like her to be.

The light pink Nobel prize gala 2008 gown is the most beautiful Victoria has worn, imo.
I have no words, anyone would look stunning in that dress!

I think Victoria looks stunning in this purple gown: everything, from clutch to well-matched jewellery, is just perfect.
I'm also rather fond of this dress: it's relatively simple yet very elegant. I find her choice of jewellery (especially necklace) particularly spot on.
This two-piece black gown is another hit, in my opinion.
