All these pictures have made me laugh so hard I wonder if they look at themselves before they were these outfits or they just don't care. Of course maybe they want to look tacky or could it possibly be they don't know any better

When it comes to crazy fashion I think top honors go to Laurentien! She sports some outlandish creations, yet oddly enough on her they work. I don't think anyone else would be able to pull it off with such verve.
Thank you for all the wonderful pics, Her_Majesty!

I have to say, Queen Beatrix's daughters-in-law certainly take the prize for the craziest fashions! And the Queen herself has worn some questionable things as well.
This one is terrible! Queen Margrethe has a penchant for ugly coats and jackets.

The showercurtain... you are right acdc, Queen Bee's d-i-l's are in the good company of the chef of the wigwam (as the PoO calls his mother at times).

I'm surprised there's no photo of Maxima in Luxemberg (sp) wearing that hideous hot pink/orange bubble suit, hot pink "top hat" and those horrible pointy shoes......I'm still haunted by it.
That picture of Mabel wearing "the black clown suit" is horrible!! I've never seen that!
Not since Fergie back in her free-spending heydey in the 80's have I seen such bad fashion.

Sassy -please find a picture of the suit you were referring to worn by Maxima, I don't ever remember it! I just can't picture anything like that. I can't honestly believe that people let some of these outfits out of the house. Good Grief!
Her Majesty -- Your photos have me laughing so hard that I had tears running down my face. Queen Sonja's 4th picture you quoted "very ugly" was that and more - awful. What in the world was Maxima thinking wearing that giant gray flower hat and then even worse that red/pink monster. I hope to heaven that she only wore them both once as a joke. She is cute enough on her own that she doesn't have to wear silly stuff to draw attention to herself.
Mathilde's crazy coat and hat belong in the dust bin -- she just HAD to be embarrased to wear them.
I never saw Qenn Beatrix's "shower curtain" outfit before -- where was her head? Awful -- no style at all especially drawn in at the foot like that. Yucks.
But, my best laugh came from Queen Margrethe's rain coat and hat. She just HAD to have that ordered special as I can't picture any designer ever making more than one of them and placing his/her name on the item. I would have LOVED to have seen P Mary's face when she saw her M-I-L walking towards her in that getup. What a mental picture!
