That picture of Mabel wearing "the black clown suit" is horrible!! I've never seen that!

Not since Fergie back in her free-spending heydey in the 80's have I seen such bad fashion.
Sassy -please find a picture of the suit you were referring to worn by Maxima, I don't ever remember it! I just can't picture anything like that. I can't honestly believe that people let some of these outfits out of the house. Good Grief!

Her Majesty -- Your photos have me laughing so hard that I had tears running down my face. Queen Sonja's 4th picture you quoted "very ugly" was that and more - awful. What in the world was Maxima thinking wearing that giant gray flower hat and then even worse that red/pink monster. I hope to heaven that she only wore them both once as a joke. She is cute enough on her own that she doesn't have to wear silly stuff to draw attention to herself.

Mathilde's crazy coat and hat belong in the dust bin -- she just HAD to be embarrased to wear them.

I never saw Qenn Beatrix's "shower curtain" outfit before -- where was her head? Awful -- no style at all especially drawn in at the foot like that. Yucks.

But, my best laugh came from Queen Margrethe's rain coat and hat. She just HAD to have that ordered special as I can't picture any designer ever making more than one of them and placing his/her name on the item. I would have LOVED to have seen P Mary's face when she saw her M-I-L walking towards her in that getup. What a mental picture!

Oh Good Heavens, Sassy, thank you for the picture but what the ---- was Maxima thinking. Doesn't Alexander ever look at his wife's clothes? Doesn't he mention that he MIGHT just feel silly walking beside that outfit? Most men would. What's with the "pulled-in" hem. Damn, same awful routine that her M-I-L had on her "Shower Curtain". I guess I am just not up on all this 'style'!

I love many aspects of this outfit, just not the design of the skirt - the fabric is great though.

That was one of Máxima's worst outfits ever.

Here's one funny-crazy outfit Margriet wore today:
turqouise jacket and pink gloves

After all I think that almost all if not every ladies wore and will wear something crazy.
Some of them wear only crazy clothes no matter of the event or if they're young or not.
Even Queen Elizabeth II with her hats and different colours of her outfits. (I mean different than fashion.)
Queen Margrethe like colours... she's an artist. Queen Beatrix loves her crazy hats and the same (in her older years) type of fasion.
Princesses Mabel, Laurentien and MarthaLouise you know...
Don't forget about Kalina of Bulgaria.

Princess mabel always seems to wear crazy clothes. The train on her wedding gown is a perfect example.

I find the hats of the British princesses Sophie, Zara, Beatrice and Eugenie really crazy. The little ones that stick to their forehead with loads of feathers. (I think the designer is Philip Treacy)

They said then that Prince Laurent picked the fabric for that outfit.
Actually I like the jacket, but everything in the same fabric is just too much!

Uggghh...the entire outfit is horrible. I wonder if she still thinks that was a good choice when looking at photos from that day?
