Aranjuez Royal Exibition
The Aranjuez Royal Palace openned the exibition that shows the bridal gowns of Queen Sofia, Princess Letizia and Infantas Elena and Cristina. The dresses will be exhibited permanently. the exibition also shows several ceremony dresses and uniforms used by the Spanish RF in the last 30 years. I found this pic in El Mundo :) I think that i will do a trip to Madrid to see them

Here's a video about the exhibition. From Telecinco:
http://www.informativos.telecinco.es...z/dn_17140.htm
All the dresses are impeccable, although some of them were formerly quite battered, mainly the one of Doña Letizia, whose low parts of the dress were quite damaged, due to the torrential rain that fell the day of her wedding.
Besides, the gowns are not complete. The Princess of Asturias and the Infantas wanted to keep their veils, as a memory of their weddings, and the only shoes that can be contemplated at the exhibition are those of Infanta Cristina, who donated them to the National Patrimony.

We can see, for example that Cristina's dress has strings, while Elena's had a game of overlapping fabrics... It's a shame the link will soon be broken... I would like to save it on my PC.

The green one was the dress Queen Sofia took in July 1969, when Franco proposed Juan Carlos as his successor in the heads of the State. The pink was used by HM on November 22, 1975, when Juan Carlos' proclamation ceremony was held.

Not Elsa, the green dress is the one that the Queen took the day of the Mass of "Acción de Gracias" after they being proclaimed Kings, It was November 27.

Larzen, thanks very much for making the screencaps. Also, thanks to Fanletizia for posting the pics from Terra.
I was dying to see the wedding dresses on display. I feel you can admire them better on display with their exquisite beading and other small things one doesn't notice when worn by the bride.
I had a question, could some point out the wedding dress worn by Queen Ena?? I am very much interested in it viewing it, as there isn't an actual pictures of the wedding available.

The gowns that are pictured today are only those dedicated to the reign of Juan Carlos.
The Museo de la Vida of Aranjuez includes several thematic rooms dedicated to each reign (since Felipe V), but only the ones of HM Juan Carlos were inaugurated today. I believe Queen Ena's dress is in the room of Alfonso XIII.

Thanks for the info., Elsa.
Any ideas when they might inaugurate the room of Alfonso XIII. Are they even thinking of it??
