You made me laugh!!! Very funny

Agree, they were awful. And I do not understand, Tatiana does not need such a "diabolic plan" to draw the attention, she was a beautiful bride!!

For me the BEST dressed bridemaids were these on Letizia's wedding, dresses by Caprile, in a Goya paintings style. Perfection.

Stephanie's bridesmaides are absolutely awful! My favorite has got to be Victoria's bridesmaids. I would have those kinds dresses for my bridesmaids. Though, not on adults of course. Those dresses are more suitable for young girls.

I must be in the minority because I liked Stephanie's bridesmaids and thought they were lovely. I wish the cut of Alexandra's dress had been the same as Antonia's which was very flattering. And the children were simply adorable in their 18th century costumes. I didn't care for the colors, but those are the colors of the Grand Ducal house of Nassau-Weilberg...so they were very appropriate.

My favorite Royal wedding attendant costumes/dresses:

Diana/Charles
Sarah/Andrew
Lady Sarah Armstrong Jones/Daniel Chatto
Felipe/Letizia
Victoria/Daniel
William/Catherine
Albert/Charlene
Queen Elizabeth/Prince Philip

The worst:

Baudouin/Fabiola
Nikolaos/Tatiana

Here are great articles on royal bridesmaids:

The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor: Wedding Wednesday: Adult Bridesmaids

The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor: Wedding Wednesday: Little Bridesmaids in White

The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor: Wedding Wednesday: More Little Bridesmaids

My favorites:

1. Crown Princess Victoria's bridal party
2. Catherine's adult and little bridesmaids
3. Queen Elizabeth II's bridesmaids
4. Lady Sarah Chatto's bridesmaids
5. Mette-Marit's child bridesmaids
6. Infanta Cristina's bridesmaids
7. Letizia's bridesmaids
8. Lady Rose Windsor's little bridesmaids
9. Alexia of Greece's little bridesmaids
10. Crown Princess Mary's little bridesmaids

My worst:

1. Tatiana's adult bridesmaids
2. HGD Stephanie's adult and little bridesmaids
3. Queen Fabiola's bridal party
4. Diana's bridesmaids
5. Astrid of Belgium's bridal party
6. Marie-Chantal's bridal party
7. Autumn Philips' adult bridesmaids
8. Queen Mathilde's bridal party
9. Queen Maxima's adult and little bridesmaids
10. Crown Princess Mary's adult bridesmaids

Almost every other bridal party in the articles that I did not include on my list are horrible!

I think Diana's bridesmaid's dresses were prettier and fit way better than the bride's!

Best tradition children: Prince Willem-Alexander the Netherlands and Máxima Zorreguieta

Best child bridesmaid: Prince William and Catherine Middleton (except for the texture of the sash & maybe a different color.)

Worst boy: Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson

My favourites are:

1. William and Catherine's bridesmaids
2. Lady Rose and George Gilman's bridesmaids
3. Prince Alois of Liechtenstein and Princess Sophie of Bavaria's bridesmaids
4. Princess Alexia of Greece and Carlos Morales's bridesmaids
5. Princess Margaretha of Luxembourg and Prince Nikolaus of Liechtenstein's bridesmaids
6. CP Victoria and Daniel Westling's bridesmaids
7. Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew's bridesmaids
8. Mary Donaldson and CP Frederik's bridesmaids

I sort of liked:

1. Prince Nikolaos of Greece and Denmark and Tatiana Blatnik's bridesmaids (the bridesmaid's dresses are nice, but they're more suited to a summer party IMO)
2. Peter Philips and Autumn Kelly's bridesmaids
3. Princess Margaret and Antony Armstrong-Jones's bridesmaids
4. HGD Guillame and Countess Stephanie de Lannoy's bridesmaids
5. Prince Willem-Alexander and Maxima Zorreguieta's bridesmaids
6. Prince Philippe of Belgium and Countess Mathilde d'Udekem d'Acoz's bridesmaids
7. Prince Friso of Orange-Nassau and Mabel Wisse-Smit's bridesmaids (like I said for Nikolaos and Tatiana's bridesmaids, I think their dresses are more suited to a party)
8. Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys-Jones's bridesmaids (I didn't like the capes)

My least favourites are:

1. Lady Diana Spencer and Prince Charles's bridesmaids
2. Princess Astrid of Belgium and Archduke Lorenz of Austria-Este's bridesmaids
3. Prince Maurits of Orange-Nassau and Marilène van den Broek's bridesmaids
4. Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg and Sibilla Weiller's bridesmaids
5. Viscount Linley and Serena Stanhope's bridesmaids
6. Infanta Cristina and Inaki Urdangarin's bridesmaids
7. Prince Felipe and Letizia Ortiz's bridesmaids (I like the page boy's outfits but not the bridesmaids)

Diana's bridesmaids dresses were horrible, even if they hadn't been wrinkled. Charlene's were awful as well.

It's true that they were wrinkled, but at least they fit and weren't drowning the little girls in a riot of ruffles and fabric...unlike the poor bride!

Diana's flowergirls and bridesmaids were very fashionable in the 80's. My parents married the year after and my mum basically copied Diana's dress design (puffy sleeves and all) and had similar flower girl dresses. They were very 80's, and Catherine did a modern spin on them with her flowergirls. They were very similar but I believe that was intentional, and I particularly liked the bows at the back and the flower crowns:

Diana's + Catherine's

I loved Catherine's flowergirl dresses but didn't like Pippa's bridesmaid dress as it was too white for my liking. I hated Charlene's bridesmaids, what the heck were they wearing?

I loved Madeleine's bridesmaids and Zara's bridesmaid dresses. Zara's flowergirls.

I am so tired of this 80's excuse for how bad Diana's dress and the dress of her bridesmaids were. I have stated multiple times that other royal brides got married in the 80's and their dresses weren't as bad as Diana's. Sarah Ferguson had puffy sleeves as well but they weren't as bad as Diana's were.
The one good thing about Diana's bridesmaids dresses were that they did fit.

Finally!! I feel the same, the 80's were no excuse. I distinctly remember (yes I am older) at the time of Diana's wedding I was a teen and I HATED her dress and everything else. I also got a lot of crap from others for hating it LOL. I always liked Sarah Duchess Of York's dress much better. To each her own!!

OMG...I forgot about Autumn Phillips and her horrible bridesmaids! Women stuffed into tight strapless dresses that showed their tan lines...yuck! I did like the seafoam green color, but that was all.

Almost everything about that wedding was so tacky I had to keep reminding myself that it was a grandchild of HM marrying.

I agree. The color is beautiful but I didn't like the dresses in general at all. Not only do I dislike strapless wedding dresses, but I also dislike strapless bridesmaids dresses. For both royal and non-royal weddings.

I also really disliked Queen Maxima's bridesmaids. That shade of red is beautiful, but I think the high neckline and overall style is awful. The same thing goes for the little bridesmaids outfits!

Oh dear. Maxima is one of my Top Three Royal brides, but you are right. Those bridesmaids dresses are not attractive at all.

You know I don't dislike Maxima's too much; I do think it would have been better if it was velvet at the top and satin (is that what that is) at the bottom.

While I don't think that Diana's bridesmaids dresses were even remotely as ghastly as her own wedding dress, I will say that they are a bit too frumpy-frilly for me.

I really like:
01. Catherine's bridal party
02. Victoria's bridesmaids
03. Queen Elizabeth II's bridesmaids
04. Queen's Mary's bridal party
05. Sarah Ferguson's bridesmaids

I'm also really fond of the history behind the outfits of the Countess of Wessex's bridal party. The little Garter robes were so imaginary and looked adorable.

I really don't like:
01. Tatiana's bridal party
02. Queen Máxima's bridal party
03. Diana's bridesmaids
04. Queen Mathilde's bridesmaids
05. Viscountess Linley's bridal party

I loved Sarah Ferguson's bridesmaids. The peach color, the sailor uniforms, the details in all the dresses and the circular flower hoops. Loved them. I thought Kate Middleton's were too plain and I didn't like the color.

Sarah's attendants were gorgeous indeed, and I loved those floral wreaths they carried.

I loved Kate's too. I thought they were perfect.
