Default if you could marry wearing a royal dress, what dress would you chose?

I love to see al these wedding pictures and i was wondering, if you would get merried or if you are getting married who's dress would you chose if yo could chose from the royal dresses.

I love the dress from:

Princess Grace
Princess Laurentien
Princess Claire

so my dess would probably be a combination of the three.
(or all three, one for the civil wedding, one for the church and one for the party

My dream gown is always Lady Helen Taylor's gown. Runner up maybe Princess Margaret or Princess Claire.

It would be ArchDuchess/Barroness Francesca Thyssen-Bornemisza.

Although Crown Princess Maxima's was similar to my mother's dress from the 1960's ImageShack - Hosting :: j1065ex.jpg but my mother's had a straigth skirt and a narrow square train.

Maybe it's an unusual choice..but I'd like Princess Martha Louise of Norway's wedding gown. I loved the color, the shape, the tiara and veil...

I would love to have a really long train like Diana, but not as wrinkled and I like the way Grace's dress was around her waist and Margaret's tiara with the hair and her necklace.

A Winter Wedding, definitly Maxima's; summer wedding, Claire of Belgium. But for both, Maxima's Veil.

Ruby Princess 168, I love your mother's dress.

I would love to wear Mette-Marit's dress! It was just so beautiful!
It is still my all-time favourite dress!

Indeed, Ruby Princess, that is a fantastic wedding dress.

My choice of gown wouldn't be considered royal at all. The late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy's dress was simply amazing... her everyday style of dress was/is very similar to mine, and her gown is something that I would wear for my own wedding.

Now, if I had to chose a royal it would be Mette Marit's gown. It's simple, classic, and timeless in my opinion.

I would want Princess Maxima's veil, and Princess Diana's dress(with less puffy sleeves though), i don't know how that would look but in my head it seems like a perfect combo:)

My first choice would be CP Mette-Marit's stunning gown. My second choice would be Princess Maxima's.

OHHH good question, either Princess Margaret or Lady Sarah Chatto (with Queen Paola's family veil)

I would like Queen Elizabeth II's dress, different tiara for me though, and perhaps shorter sleeves....I might die if I wore longer sleeves, I'm always so warm!

Very interesting! Thank you! I haven't seen some of the current monarchs' wedding photos before. Queen Margrethe's wedding dress is very similar to CP Mette-Marie's. I remember the Emmanuels saying that when they talked to Diana about ideas for her wedding dress, they looked at past wedding dresses for inspiration. Do you think designers still do that today when designing for royal weddings?

I should hope they do, if they're trying to get an appropriately royal look.
