I think either Queen Elizabeth´s gown or Queen Margrethe´s gown with Queen Paola´s veil and the tiara of Queen Silvia wore and her wedding

There are quite a few to choose from unfortunately I usually like different parts of each dress.

If I had to pick a complete dress it would be Princess Claire of Belgium or Infanta Cristina

The only one I would consider wearing is Mette-Marit's. If I couldn't have that one I would settle for Infanta Cristina's gown.

For a winter wedding it would be Fabiola of Belgium or Maxima of the Netherlands. Queen Fabiola had the most beautiful and majestic winter gown I have ever seen.

For summer...hmmm..that's more difficult. I think Alexandra von Furstenburg's wedding gown was magnificent, so I'd choose hers. Or Cristina of Spain's.

This is a great topic!

but for summer i like Claire's, it is made by the same designer.

what i like about Grace Kelly's gown is the removeble drape. It is handy, can look great in church but not at your party.

My two favorite wedding gowns are the ones worn by Queen Fabiola and Archduchess Francesca, so either one of those, or perhaps a gown that takes elements from both and puts them together (such as a coat dress trimmes with white fur). It would have to be a winter wedding, though!

Princess Grace's. But I'm not tiny, and she had such a little waist in 1956. And I'd look like Queen Victoria waddling around in such a voluminous skirt on my short body.

I'd look better in something simple like an Empire dress or something with a coat like Mathilde's, the Countess of Wessex's... or even Camilla's.

Grace Kelly's dress has a great history to it - it as designed and created by Helen Rose of MGM - as was her wardrobe for "High Society" - she took many of the costume pieces from this movie with her to her new life in Monaco. Grace often said that one of her favorite dresses was the one she wore in the final wedding scene in the movie when she is the bride of Bing Crosby - a great movie!

I think I would want Princess Diana's dress, just with less "puff" and maybe a a little shorter train, but I love the look of it. It was truly a romantic dress I think.

Typically, I can't choose just one!

Whilst I admire many of the "older" dresses (by which I mean those from the current Queens and previously), I wouldn't wear them, so thats easy. Which leaves (excluding some I dont like):

Maxima's dress, which I love but can't see myself in it, I dont know why. Same goes for Letizia.
I am not fond of Mathilde's so thats easy.
I would say Mette Marit's (IMO it looks stunning - especially here, here and here) is perfect.
Now as for Mary's - I love the back, and the front's sillouette, but not the detailing on the skirt (seen beneath the flowers). But to contradict myself just once more, I dont know how well the front would work otherwise.

Conclusion: MM's gown for the ceremony and Mary's (minus the train) for the reception and afterwards...
(This way I get my "shiny" gown)

Cool

i would wear a mixture of princess margarets dress and princess diana. im getting married and i chose to do princess margarets skirt and viel, with a off the shoulder bodice with the bell sleeves of princess dianas dress (without puff) and the train but 15 feet long. also, i found a large tiara that looks close to the poltimore tiara. my dress is beautiful it fits the occasion cuz its a mock royal wedding...complete with titles, horse and carriages and coat of arms

I'd choose Letizia's. Or maybe Mary's, but with a different hairstyle and veil.

I just need to find a Prince Charming who is tall, dark and handsome like Felipe!
