A Thai court on Wednesday sentenced a labor activist and former magazine editor to 10 years in prison for insulting Thailand’s king, the latest in a string of convictions under the country’s strict lese majeste law.

She is not a 'chubby little princess' but Princess Soamsawali, the former wife of Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn.

You can read more about her:

Looking at some of the coverage, it seems like the people really do get emotional about The King.

I find it very sad that in this day and age people are punished for speaking out.

.

Princess Chulabhorn was in China to attend the 6th youth musical evening between China and Thailand. Yesterday, December 10, she met with Zhang Dejiang, chairman of China's National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, in Beijing.

The Thai army started a coup and for the time being suspended the constitution.

In Thailand’s turbulent political history, the king, Bhumibol Adulyadej, has on at least one occasion helped resolve political disputes. But he is 86 years old and ailing.

General Prayuth said in his announcement that the king was “above the entire conflict.”

The military “will protect and worship the monarchy,” he said.

How future queen of Thailand (wearing only a tiny G-string) let her poodle Foo Foo eat cake: As coup rocks Bangkok, video reveals royal couple's decadent lifestyle | Mail Online

Given the current state of affairs in Thailand, the article is unfortunate.

German Magazine ZEIT - no yellowpress! Definitely a renowned newspaper - has reported that the Crown Prince obviously fled to England:

Militärputsch: Kronprinz offenbar nach England geflohen | ZEIT ONLINE

Reading in the Daily Mail that a source in Thailand said that there were many there who would prefer the Crown Prince not to come back, I wonder, if the publication of this video was a kind of warning for the CP-couple.
