Thailand's revered king left hospital on February 27th and travelled to his palace in Bangkok, police told AFP, with media reports saying he was attending a private function.
A police spokesman confirmed the king was at Chitralada Palace on Saturday evening but said he did not know how long the monarch would stay there. No source could be immediately reached at the palace to comment.
The 82-year-old king, the world's longest reigning monarch and regarded as a demi-god by many Thais, has been in hospital for more than five months.

Given the current political 'temperature' in Thailand. I just hope this is a sign of improving health for His Majesty, as he might be once again called to ease tensions throughout his kingdom.

SIXTY years ago this week, King Bhumibol Adulyadej arrived back in Thailand. The 22-year-old had lived abroad most of his life. Named king four years earlier on his brother's death, he was coming home for his coronation. Half a million people lined the streets in celebration.
As one biographer writes: "To astrologers, the heavens proved the great event: three days before Bhumibol arrived, hail fell on Bangkok for the first time since 1933."
The Massachusetts-born, Swiss-educated, jazz-playing Bhumibol might have seemed an unlikely fit for the throne. But over the decades he has earned Thais' reverence for his generosity, humility and devotion to his people.

The King speaks to the nation

Monday night the King of Thailand spoke out publicly on the turmoil the country is going through, but he made no comments on the conflict that is on and now is spinning out of control. He said this to the newly appointed judges at a hospital and requested them to do their jobs well and set an example to others. - UK Today News

I too wish the king good health, just as I wish a speedy recovery to the victims of his prime minister, and extend my condolences to the familes of those Thais gunned down in their own streets. Kings should unify their subjects not side with bloodthirsty power elites.
