His Majesty the King has endorsed a royal decree setting the general election date for Oct 15 while also attaching a letter calling for fair and orderly polls. Congratulations on the King on the success of his spinal surgery! Once again, it's really touching to see how much love is shown by the Thai people for their King. What a marvellous gesture, one which is rarely seen on other RFs.
It's great to see all the royal family members dressed in yellow colour (the colour of the King).. and be with him at the hospital, even little Prince Dipakorn.

moreover, it's nice to see the King hasn't lost his "want" to take pictures everywhere, and this certainly is a great occassion...

Thanks to Iparity for all the wonderful pictures!

His Majesty improves, keeps up with events

His Majesty the King was able to have a longer walk yesterday, the fourth day after undergoing spinal surgery, the Royal Household Bureau said.

In a statement, the bureau said His Majesty was able to exercise his leg and foot muscles by himself and was able to take more food.
Doctors have advised the King since Sunday to exercise and change his reclining positions frequently, the statement said.

His Majesty was said to be spending time standing up and then walking with the help of a walking aid and without any post-surgery pain.

After walking, His Majesty's condition remained normal, the bureau statement said.
...

HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who stayed overnight at the building, left yesterday morning and acknowledged the crowds outside.

Despite remaining in hospital, the King expressed concern about the flood situation in Phetchaburi and Prachuab Khiri Khan.
...
Meanwhile, Pakistan's ambassador to Thailand, Khateer Hasan Khan, said he and the people of Pakistan prayed for a speedy recovery for His Majesty. Khan recalled the King's 1962 visit to Pakistan where His Majesty's ideas for a sufficiency economy had impressed.
