Just heard on the news... (on Channel News Asia)
Tonight's banquet will be celebrated on a new throne hall. The meal will be prepared by famous chef of the Oriental Hotel. Almost every news i watch always mentioned a good deed that the King does. Just then, i watched that a little girl wrote to the King about her ill mother. She comes from the village area of Thailand. The King personally contacted his staff at the Royal Projects initiated by him, and shortly, the girl was helped and today, she can live in a home & get helped by royal project. Quite a touching story... 1-4 : Prince Albert II of Monaco & Prince Alois of Liechtenstein visit Jim Thomson house, one of top attraction place for tourist in Bangkok, 13 June 2006. Thailand plans to offer tourist packages that take in landmarks visited by the world's monarchs during its king's Diamond Jubilee celebrations this week, reports said. Their Majesties the King Bhumibol & Queen Sirikit, along with the Royal Family has just arrived at the Borommaratchasathit Maholan Throne Hall.
Queen Sirikit is wearing long gown with dark colour. Queen Sirikit is wearing a diamond tiara! They are now sitting while waiting for their royal guests. Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn & Princess Sirindhorn are waiting in the corridor to greet the guests. 19.52 (bangkok time) : The 1st guest just arrived, the Prince of Oman 19.53 : Duke of York just entered the throne hall 19.54 : Prince Philippe & Princess Mathilde arrived - mathilde wore a recycled silver dress, i think with the laurel wreath tiara (i think) 19.56 : Haakon & Mette-Marit arrived. MM wore a red-pink/fuschia colour dress, she curtsey gracefuly again to the Queen. 19.57 : Willem-Alexander & Maxima arrived. not quite sure what colour her dress is but a light one. 19.58 : Crown Prince of Bhutan arrived. 19.59 (bangkok time) : from Bahrain arrived. 20.00 : princess Lalla Salma in hot red kafkan. 20.01 : Queen Sofia in white colour dress, with a big tiara. 20.02 : Prince Henrik in his white naval uniform just arrived. 20.03 : Prince Alois of Liechtenstein in gala formal 20.04 : Prince Albert of Monaco in white formal uniform (i'm not sure what the dress code is, since the King is wearing naval uniform but with black pants. some Princes wear white naval uniform, and some in black gala formal) 20.05 : not sure who, from Middle East 20.06 : King Norodom Sihamoni in black formal uniform 20.07 : King & Queen of Malaysia. the King is wearing similar outfit like yesterday noon, while the Queen with tiara & red gala dress. 20.08 : Grand Duke Henri in normal Luxembourgian formal uniform 20.09 : King Abdullah of Jordan just arrived. 20.10 : King & Queen of Lesotho, the Queen looks lovely in blue dress & tiara. 20.12 : Emperor & Empress of Japan. Michiko in black-white dress 20.14 : the Sheikh of Qatar & his wife, who once again looks beautiful in white dress. 20.15 : from Swaziland 20.16 : King Carl Gustaf & Queen Silvia of Sweeden, who wore a light colour (light blue/light purple/white) dress, looks very elegant & glamorous 20.17 : Sultan of Brunei, the last one just arrived.

A meal fit for kings and queens A five-course meal with ingredients from the Royal Project scheme awaits the 400 royal and other guests at tonight's banquet hosted by His Majesty the King at the Borommaratchasathit Maholan Throne Hall. Leading the team of chefs cooking this historic meal will be Norbert Kostner, executive chef at the Oriental Hotel. Nearly half of all the dishes for the banquet will include seafood, veal and fresh vegetables from royal projects. About 150 Oriental Hotel employees will be serving the dishes. Every table will feature a brief information menu about the main ingredients.
