August 2009 Informal Picture of the Month Poll!

This month's poll features Royals Going to School.

The pictures in this poll show the informal side of royalty. It will close on 8 October 2009. During this time, we ask that NO ONE STATE WHOM THEY'VE VOTED FOR so as not to influence other members as they make their choices. After the poll closes, you can discuss as much as you'd like about which image you voted for and why.

This month, our Picture of the Month representatives had help in selecting their images with a small committee of their choosing. Below, you can see each royal house's representative (in bold) followed by their chosen committee members.

Unlike most children, Princess Ileana, the youngest daughter of Ferdinand I and Queen Marie of Romania, never got away from studies even during the holidays: when they spent time in one of their summer villas, a special outdoor classroom was designed for the royal children to continue their studies.

Maria Nikolaevna, the third daughter of Emperor Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra, painting in her study room. Like most Royals of the time, she was home schooled: Maria and her sisters had a separate study, while Alexei had a classroom all to himself.

Love the Monaco picture. I think it is the best. 2nd would be the Russian and 3th the British.
No offense but I don't see anything special in the spanish one. They look great but I think that its quality and content does not really compete with the originality and uniqueness of the other pictures.

Congratulations to Spain!

Leonor is one of the cutest girls ever, and definitely a Daddy's girl too.

The Norwegian picture was adorable as well - Ingrid Alexandra is just too cute for words.

I couldn't decide between two pictures though: the Romanian picture of Princess Ileana and the Monaco picture. I voted for the Romanian one (and yes, I know it might not be very ethical, since I nominated it in the first place): I just loved the beautiful setting, the wooden furniture and huts and the straw roofs - things you don't really associate with Royals. And in the midst, the young Princess, surrounded by all those heavy and morbid looking books.
The Monaco picture was one of the most beautiful ones I've ever seen, really very artistic. Stephanie was such a cutie! Loved Prince Albert's pants.

Ok,I can reveal my choice now:William and Harry.I thought they looked extremely cute!Leonor is very sweet indeed,but the British boys should at least come second.lol
