I hope you've got enough chocolate to stave off a total collapse of the vital organs after all the excitement, Thomas...

Sorry but in the "V" photo is pictured Queen Elena of Italy, née Pss Jelena of Montenegro, wife of King Vittorio Emanuele III of Italy and not Queen Soraya of Afghanistan

Queen Beatrix , for example, prefers wearing smaller Tiaras instead of the bigger ones (and the Dutch do have quite a lot big Tiaras in their collection). She once mentioned that weight of the heavy , big Tiaras cause headaches, and so she doesn't wear them that often.

Just found this thread. I'd say that the tiara of the former empress of Iran, Farah, looks the heaviest.
To Mamimila, Soraya was the 2nd wife of the Shah of IRAN.

My 2 very favorite tiaras are "The girls of Great Britain and Ireland", or "Granny's tiara" and the Dutch Bandeau.
The ones that caught my eye for this poll:
F- The Danish wedding tiara
G- The Dutch Bandeau
H- Belgium, I've never seen this one...wished they still had it.
L- I thought her name was Alexandra, not Nathalie? LOVE this one!
S- Monocco...no tiara but I LOVE the emerald bead/diamond necklace!
X- Egypt, Princess Fawzia was BEAUTIFUL...so was her jewelry!

Gasp!!!! And heavy breathing. I have gone and DONE IT. I voted for my favoairte goodie. This poll is enough to make one a Moslem-ie it is perfectly legitimate to have four tiaras?????. I could have chosen five or six of these drop dead gorgeous contraptions, not to mention the drop dead gorgeous and marvelous creatures wearing them all too easily. And just to think that in looking at a photograph, however accurate, we are seeing only a pale reflection of the reality of actually seeing the real thing. The sight of some of these things must be nothing short of overwhelming. Maybe with my weak and doddering system it is good that I will never actually see them. It would probably just be all too much.
I can well belive the story of Queen Ingrid wearing the Danish pearl paurure to bed restore the luster to the pearls. Were I in her shoes I would do the same. Of course for sheer comic effect the sight of me in pajamas, bathrobe and bed room slippers bedecked in pearl tiara with necklace and earings and a well positioned stomacher would outdo even Princess Margaret wearing the Poltimore in her bathtub. Cheers.

I have to point out that it is not Princess Natalie on this picture but her sister princess Alexandra

Just a reminder - since this poll is still open, please don't say which photo you voted for.
Thanks

Oh goodness what luscious things! I do envy those ladies. I've read so many comments by tiara-ed women that they don't enjoy wearing them much. It's all relative, I guess. I certainly enjoying seeing them in them!

The photos are wonderful. I'm sorry to see that the Belgians do not have that beautiful piece anymore. It would look so lovely on Princess Mathilde.

It was so difficult to choose. They are all so beautiful. This was a very fun poll. I agree with Thomas Parkman. We should have a poll where we choose the ugliest jewels.

Is it just me or could everyone view the links? I haven't able to see the choice submitted for Denmark.
