Congratulations to Monaco with well-deserved victory!
The picture of Princess Grace was beautiful and elusive, just like the late Princess. The Monaco picture was one of my two personal favourites from this poll, however I voted for a different picture - the portrait of Princess Fawzia by Lambro Vassiliadis. That portrait is one of the most beautiful and unusual (for Royals) works of Art I have ever seen. I had never seen it before and am very thankful to Humera and Warren (who, as I understand, made the selection of the Egyptian portrait) for including it in the poll.

the picture of Queen EII looks like a photo! Is it really painted? Then it is brilliant!

Oh, I'd also like the thank everyone who voted for the Austrian picture.
We were thinking quite long which of the lovely pictures of the Empress we should take.  I hope you all enjoyed this poll.

The portrait of Sofia reminds me of the portrait of Jacqueline Kennedy in the White House, same style.

I was in doubt between C, G, I, N (lovely!) and Spain and chose the latter.
I would like some art historical background about the portraits if possible. The portrait of Grace was a bit too Hollywood for me.
