She looks quite happier and hopefully that's the case. I like the Crown Prince's huge camera.

Yes, I second that .... just like a "normal" family who rejoice in the pleasure and success of one of their children.

Thanks for the update!
Given not-so-pleasant news surrounding Princess Aiko, it has been a truly pleasant surprise to watch the video. It is obvious that Crown Princely couple enjoyed attending the event.

I agree. The little one looks truly happy dancing along with her classmates. I'm very relieved watching the video and looking at the great photos you've posted here.

But why to Australia ? No offence to Australian people but Why not to England where the princess will be able to acquire Advanced RP ?

Australia would be closer to home for her.

That is true but a royal princess with an Australian accent is a bit strange.

Just to note - Crown Princess Mary of Denmark is from Australia, and also has an Australian accent

That is true and the Prince Henrik with his French accent. It's not so weird to hear Mary speaking with her Australian accent because it sounds more natural but I will find it a bit strange to hear a Japanese princess with an Australian accent. I suppose it's just me but I am not so keen on the Prince of Monaco's American accent English either.

But surely she wouldn't speak with an Australian accent when she spoke Japanese?

Togu Family at Utsunomiya Station

In their commute to Goryo Ranch, Prince Naruhito and Family greet the public at Utsunomiya Station in Tochigi. Princess Aiko is seen wearing a grey dress with knitted white cardigan, while Masako sporting a beige blazer in her much seen blazer-slack ensemble.

Thanks for the photos!
Princess Aiko appears to have a serious look on all official photos.

Thanks for all the wonderful pictures and the video! Aiko is such a beautiful girl, I really hope they find somewhere that she will be happy and have a chance to be a child. I realize she is royal, but if she is not going to inherit the empire, then I hope she gets a chance to see the outside world before she has to leave the royal house. Will she have to leave the royal house and family if she marries like her aunt did? I do not know a lot aboout the Japanese royal traditions.

The Japanese imperial princesses did not give up their imperial status until the Meiji era which started in 1868. The Princes Chikako the Princess Kazu maintained her imperial status after her marriage to the 14th Shogun Iemochi Tokugawa but since the Meiji Era, it became a law for the imperial princesses to give up their imperial status unless they marry their fellow imperial princess such as their cousins.

Oh, BTW, Japan is not any longer an empire. Since 1947, it's simply Japan or the State of Japan.
