It is really very nice to see him, from all the pictures and information that I have read about him, he seems like a very nice young man in a horrible position.....I do wonder if his wife is still under lock and key by the men in gray suits(my name for the IAH). It is a shame that this royal family has no control over their own lives............really sad indeed.

I think we've been seeing more of CP Masako than we have been. The appearances are still rare but not quite as rare.:flowers:

This is a remarkable statement by HIH. He seems to be saying that people should remember the war as it was and not only as the current Prime Minister wants Japan to remember it.

Thanks! It's really nice the video has English subtitles. I've only seen such birthday videos in Japanese only. Here are more articles with slightly different photos. I wonder if there's some press arrangement about that. It's odd each article only has 1 photo instead of a bunch of photos.

They should have just done the photos. Most of the video looks like still shots. The rest is so staged and fake, like they are lipsinking a fake conversation about the globe. Nothing natural about it. The photos are nice.

On July 7th, CP Naruhito visited the Red Cross Blood Center in Shinjuku, Tokyo. He was briefed on the current state of blood donation by the Japanese Red Cross Society and then attended a seminar with elementary school students on blood products provided to medical institutions. Students used tomato juice for simulations. Blood donation has steadily decreased every year and these seminars aim to educate elementary and junior high school students. The Japanese can start donating blood from age 16.
