Welcome to Part 1 of the Royal Family of Jordan Current Events thread.
Here you may post news, articles and pictures related to events involving several members of the royal family.

King launches El Hassan Science City marking Prince El Hassan 60th birthday

Amman, April 17, (Petra) His Majesty King Abdullah II and HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal on Tuesday launched El Hassan Science City at Al Jubeihah suburb in celebration of the 60th birthday anniversary of Prince El Hassan.
El Hassan Science City campus will host the Higher Council for Science and Technology (HCST), the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) and Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT). Petra

Quite a royal gathering for this event, here are the pictures from Petra:

Photo 1 - Princess Sarvath, Prince Hassan, King Abdullah, Queen Rania, Queen Noor, Princess Basma and husband. Second row: Princess Wejidan, Princess Alia bint Hussain, Prince Hamzah, Princess Raiyah.

Thank you, Humera. King Abdullah looks like he's put on weight again. It's nice to see so many members of the family in one place, it so rarely happens.

and who is the woman between princess Rayah and prince Raad bib zaid ?

The man between princess alia and princess wijdan is Mohamad al Saleh (princess alia's Hasband),but the woman between princess rayah and prince ra'aed is Princess Basma's daughter Zein el sharaf

The third line from Right prince Asem, Princess nofaa bit Ali ,Princess Rajwa bint Ali and princess Basma bint Ali

You know jordan I dont think that she is prince abbas wife ... look at this link they said in al rai newspaper that the the wife of prince abbas bin ali ( princess Sima) gived birth to ababy boy named Hamzah yesterday جريدة الرأي

Yes honey I correct that the woman is princess Pasma's dauter Zein becaouse princess sima look like Zein and I will post apicture for prince Abbas and Princess sima tomorrow

i'm also sure he didn't have a stroke. i really guess it's only that her face is asymmetric. many people suffer from this... and you only see it from a special angle.

I might've missed this but can anyone tell me who Prince Abbas is? How is he related to the King?

Dear Humera,
Prince Abbas bin ali bin nayef is a cousin of King Abdullah,King Talal of jordan and Prince Nayef was a brother

Prince Abbas's wife is Sima not Dima and she only gave birth to a baby boy who was named Hamzah a couple of days ago.

Quick question , Is that guy sitting next to p.Alia her husband?? he look to young to me to be so, isn't he her Son?

Queen Alia's name in Arabic isn't the same as both the princesses Name.
It's written differently and it has a different meanin....
