I am also glad her son became King.... Princess Muna is my favorite. She put her children before anything else, but i always think she didn't get the credit she so deserve....Just shows you how great of a women she really is. Wish there was more information on her and her childhood. Wonder, if she will ever write a book like Queen Noor did. Would like to know more about her as a person. One Classy Lady......................

I agree. She has always been discreet, dignified, and I feel, accepting of all other members of the royal family.
She still keeps a low profile but its good to see her performing official duties every now and then.

I am an admirer of Muna as well, she was somewhat cast aside by King Hussein but she remained faithful to him and to Jordan. I am glad that her son is King. Muna but the way deserved the title of Queen as much as Noor did. I also read that Queen Zein never warmed to Noor as well.

It is interesting in her autobiography Leap of Faith Noor barely acknowledges her Swedish heritage and only focuses on her Arab roots.

I can understand Noor very well. I have lots of roots: Spanish, Italian, French and Austrian...And in the case of Spaish and Italian and French heritage, I have roots in many places of Spain, Italy and France...In the South, center and North of all these countries. So, it's hard to be faithful to ALL these roots. I, personally, feel more close to my French roots, and also to the part of my Spanish-French family that came to Argentina in the 1600's, not so much to the family who comes directly from Spain in the 1860's and 1900.

I have a great understandin for Noor. One can't be close and feel exactly the same to all our roots. Generally, one choices what we really likes opr goes along with our characters.

http://www.petra.gov.jo/nepras/2006/Apr/25/9321I.htm

First International Nursing Conference begins today
AMMAN (Petra) — Under the patronage of HRH Princess Muna, the First International Nursing Conference will be open today. More than 1,000 specialists representing 22 countries will take part in the three-day conference, where 110 working papers will be discussed. Participants will also address the latest developments in the field of nursing and related issues. The conference seeks to exchange scientific information and discuss developments and problems faced by the sector. During the event, Princess Muna will launch the national strategy for nursing for the next five years; in addition, several agreements will be signed to upgrade the nursing sector. On the sidelines of the conference, three workshops will be held to discuss administrative, scientific, legislative and ethical issues in the profession. The event is organised by the Jordanian Nursing Council in cooperation with the World Health Organisation, the Jordan University for Science and Technology and the Tempus Programme.

i didn't know much about princess muna until this thread, thanks for the info and photos. she seems to be a very classy lady and as such respected by everybody. She is very attractive and looks beautiful and natural without imo artificial help. i so admire women who age gracefully, it gives me a good role model to resist dying my hair. i can embrace my gray and go on knowing i earned everyone of them lol

There is one on this website. (I don't know how to copy the pictures)
http://www.angelfire.com/empire/impe...rsepolis4.html
This was taken in 1971 at the Persepolis fiesta in Iran when she was still married to the king.

And yet who did KH turn to for comfort when QA died? P Muna--who was always there for him, according to Roland Dallas and other biographers. Muna was the one behind reuniting Dina and her daughter. She--I'd read--kept quiet even after the marriage to QN. Part of it may have been it was the terms of her settlement (Roland Dallas again) which prohibited her from talking about their marriage or saying things publicly criticiziing the King. I know very, very little about this woman but the fact she reunited Dina and her daughter makes her seem like a very good person at heart. She had nothing to gain in doing this. I think she was sorely disappointed when QA died and KH moved on as she may have thought he would marry her again and reunite their family. From the little I know, she and KH had a "fun" marriage, spending lots of time together doing things--she even taught him to swim. I felt bad for her in the shots at KA's wedding when she was definitely relegated to the background while KH and QN were front and center. Certainly, they could have made a little room for her as mother of the groom so she would enjoy her rightful respect that day.
