Prince Felipe & Princess Letizia visit to Jordan: April 12-14, 2011​

April 12
  • Arrive to Amman in the Afternoon
  • private dinner at the Royal Palace hosted by King Abdullah and Queen Rania

April 13
  • Visit to Parliament and the Memorial Museum of the Martyrs
  • Prince Felipe with Prime Minister Marouf Bakhit at an official Luncheon hosted by a member of the Jordanian royal family (not clear who yet)

April 14
  • Prince's intervention to teachers and students of the University of Jordan
  • Reception at the Spanish colony

Its not uncommon that arab royals do such events in private without any agency or even personal photographers allowed.

This visit is unusual regarding protocol too, F&L are not peers of Abdullah II & Rania although they are in the same age group (eg Charles & Camilla were received by F&L, not by JC and Sofia and Jordan's CP is too young for duty as yet). Maybe for that reason too they want to avoid a high profile reception at the palace. Jordanian and Spanish royals have close private ties and that is being reflected here.
 
What about the royal palace lunch ?

It has not been said whether it is a private lunch or not like the dinner, also waiting for confirmation which royals they will meet with for the lunch.

Amman, April 12 (Petra) -- Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on Tuesday held a dinner banquet in honor of Spanish Crown Prince Felipe and his wife Princess Letizia who are currently on an official visit to the Kingdom.
