Ipi, no offense, but wasn't that you?!

I think he's cute, but then I'm old enough to be his great grandmother. Shouldn't even be noticing, let alone commenting.

P. Rashid is okay in the looks department. His problem, along with many Hashemite men, is that he is basically rather short. :p About the same size as his father and uncles. Interestingly, its their legs that are short, not their upper bodies. I once saw a photograph of the late king when he was visiting France. Standing next to President de Gaulle, he looked very short. Sitting down at the conference table with him there didn't seem such a difference.

Can't Petra hire Content Managers with better command of the English Language. Some of the errors I've seen on Petra, the official government news agency, are ridiculous if not embarassing. It's okay for private entities to goof on translation, but not goverment bodies.

Tharwat is correct it is the correct english spelling of the arabic name tharwat, sarvath is the Indian version, so it is not to do with english but with arabic and indian. this issue had been discussed before , may be in this thread.

May be so, but Petra is notorious for spelling and grammatical errors. I am by no means perfect, I've made more than a few errors on this message board, but a government agency, or better, the official news agency of the Jordanian Government should put on a better show. English is widely spoken in Jordan.

still I think they should spell her name the way its been spelled since before she married Hassan. Sarvath is the correct Urdu version and thats how its spelled on Prince Hassan's official website as well.
Petra needs help with spelling and grammar for sure.

It is a very nice picture.

Salwar Kameez, as Humera may know, is one of the traditional North Indian dresses, and became the Pakistani dress after the partition of India (although women who already lived in the region wore the dress prior). Women who immigrated to Pakistan from other parts of India started wearing the salwar too.

Conversely, for the most part Muslim women in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) continued to wear the sarees. So it would be correct to say that salwar is the traditional dress of the northern part of the Indian subcontinent (Most Sikh women in India's Punjab state wear it as well. The Punjab is not only adjacent to Pakistan, but Pakistan was partly carved out of it).

On another note, I was just in Fiji & half the population there is of Indian descent -- Hindu, Muslim, and Sikh. Most are descendants of North Indians, and most of the women there wear salwar. It felt a bit odd, as it is a form of dress that I associate with Punjabis in my mind & not Fijians.
