Default Pan Arab Games in Jordan - August 1999

The 9th Pan Arab Games were held in Amman, Jordan between August 15 and August 31, 1999. 5504 athletes from 21 countries participated in events in 26 sports.

August 14, 1999 - JORDAN PAN ARAB GAMES
Jordan's Queen Noor, Prince Faisal, Prince Hamzah, and Princess Iman watch the Jordan - Lebanon women basketball match during the 9th Pan Arab games in Amman on Saturday Aug. 14, 1999. Jordan defeated Lebanon 35-32. More than 4,500 athletes from 20 Arab countries and the Palestinian Territories are participating in the competitions nicknamed " Al Hussein Tournament" after the late King Hussein who died of cancer on February 7, 1999. I realized that this was a special event for the entire royal family to get together and enjoy themselves, especially when King Hussein had died so recently.
There are a lot more pictures and I will be posting them over the next little while.
