Besides, ex-Queen Dina, the late king’s first wife was not allowed to see her daughter P. Alia for six years after her divorce. Last edited by Veram98; 02-22-2006 at 03:05 PM. |

Thanks again everyone for helping me answer all my questions.... Laraib. Love the little picture of Harry. I know it something my son Denzel would do....Wouldn't blame him. Children need to be Children.

It is one of my few criticisms of King Hussein. I can only chalk it up to immaturity or extreme bitterness or a combination of the two. Any other thoughts? It seems decidedly out of character for him, doesn't it? He never seemed cruel but this did happen and it was cruel. I thought very highly of Princess Muna for arranging the reconciliation or whatever one wants to call it which led to the reunion of mother and daughter. I may be wrong but I'd read in several books, Roland Dallas' "King Hussein" being one, that she was the one who helped sway his thinking in this area. That was most thoughtful and kind of her to take an interest in this matter. It speaks well of her. I guess it speaks well of King Hussein, as well, for having the grace to reconsider his position. He could have dug his heels in and refused to relent but didn't.

I didn't know that, maryshawn, but I can't say I'm surprised by it. Princess Muna coems across as a very caring woman.

i think she as the mother of his children - and as his wife - had this kind of influence in such cases and its nice to hear that she used her position for that!:)

Well, it takes a very kind, classy woman who has a great deal of empathy to show such caring and commiseration for her husband's first wife. She could've ignored it and not gotten involved and just focused on her own family with KH but she didn't. It impressed me greatly!:)
