Safaa, I was told by Jordanina friends that there was a really nice programme on JTV Tuesday of P Hassan and P Sarvath receiving the various sports federations they head, but couldn't see anything in the Jordan Times on line ?

Dose anyone know what has happened to princess Alia Al-Faisal? She hasn't been in the lime lights since Athens!! I wonder if she's pregnant?!!! Anyone has any ideas?!!!!

yes he recieved teams that made good results in the Pan-Arab Games in Algeria, the self defense sports that he heads, ,karate ,tae Kwon Do , boxing that prince rashid heads, and the (resheh, I do not know what in english) that p sarvath heads. he made a reception for them in his house.
I read that in the newspaper that morning that he will , but unfortunately I did not see the program on TV, I think that there was an interview with him in that program.

Prince Faisal turns 41 today

AMMAN (JT) — HRH Prince Faisal celebrates his 41st birthday today.
Born on Oct. 11, 1963, the Prince received his elementary education at the Islamic College in Amman continuing his schooling in the United Kingdom. In 1971, Prince Faisal went to the US to complete his secondary education in Massachusetts and in Washington, DC.

The Prince enrolled in Brown University in the US in 1981, graduating in 1985 with a BSc in electrical engineering.

Simultaneously, Prince Faisal received training as a pilot, and got his wings in 1982. The Prince returned to the UK, studying at Cornwell Academy where he was presented six awards for achievement of excellence.

On Sept. 20, 2004, a Royal Decree was issued appointing Prince Faisal as Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for Air Force and IT Affairs. The Prince holds the rank of lieutenant general.

His Royal Highness is also the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Abdullah Award for Government Performance and Transparency, chairman of the Board of Trustees of Muta University and chairman of the Higher Supervision and Guidance Committee of the Special Operation Forces Exhibition. He is also president of several clubs, including the Royal Gliding Club and the Golf Club. In addition, the Prince heads the Executive Committee of Auto-sports at the Royal Automobile Club of Jordan and has represented the Kingdom at numerous international events and functions.

Prince Faisal is married to HRH Princess Alia, daughter of the late businessman Tawfiq Tabbaa. The couple has four children: Princess Aya, Prince Omar, Princess Sara and Princess Ayesha

الاحتفال الذي اقامه مكتب منظمة الاغذية والزراعة في الامم المتحدة
بالتعاون مع مشروع التنوع الحيوي في المركز الوطني للبحوث الزراعية
ونقل التكنولوجيا وجامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا الاردنية اليوم في
الجامعة بمناسبة يوم الغذاء العالمي بعنوان //التنوع الحيوي في خدمة
الامن الغذائي//.
واكد رئيس الجامعة الدكتور وجيه عويس دعم الجامعة لنشاطات القطاع
الزراعي والمساهمة في تطوير هذا القطاع في ظل قيادة جلالة الملك عبد
الله الثاني مشيرا الى دور الجامعة في تفعيل الترابط مع المجتمع المحلي
والمنظمات الدولية ووضع امكانات الجامعة في خدمة وتطوير قطاعات الانتاج
المختلفة.
وقال ممثل منظمة الاغذية والزراعة للامم المتحدة في عمان الدكتور
احمد المنياوي ان شعار التنوع البيولوجي الحيوي في خدمة الامن الغذائي
جاء لما ينطوي عليه كوكبنا من ثراء في هذا التنوع الهائل وما يمثله من
وسيله رئيسية للقضاء على الجوع مشيرا الى ان هذا التنوع اصبح اليوم
مهددا مما يشكل خطرا جسيما على الامن الغذائي.
وقال مساعد الامين العام في وزارة الزراعة المهندس ابراهيم العتيلي
انه وبتوجيهات من جلالة الملك فقد اعدت الوزارة استراتيجية وطنية
للتنمية الزراعية للاعوام /2002 - 2010/ وتم من خلالها تحديد كافة
المشاكل والمعوقات التي تواجه القطاع الزراعي والرؤيا المستقبلية
للحصول الى زراعة مستقرة ومستدامة تعتمد على وسائل وتقنيات انتاج
متطورة وتوجيه الانتاج نحو الطلب على السوق المحلي والخارجي وركزت
الاستراتيجية على تحقيق اهداف اقتصادية تتمثل في توفير البيئة المناسبة
لقيام القطاع الخاص بدور فاعل في التنمية الزراعية.
بعد ذلك افتتحت سمو الاميرة بسمة معرض المنتجات الريفية للسيدات
العاملات في القطاع التعاوني في اربد وعجلون وجرش والموقر.
واشتمل برنامج الاحتفال على عدد من المحاضرات حول الامن الغذائي
والتنوع الحيوي الزراعي والامن الغذائي والقوانين والانظمة المتعلقة
بالتنوع الحيوي الزراعي في الاردن وملامح الخطة الوطنية للتنوع
الحيوي والحديقة المنزلية والتنوع الحيوي والمشاريع الزراعية الواردة
في الاستراتيجية الوطنية.
حضر الافتتاح متصرف لواء الرمثا ابراهيم البطوش ومدير شرطتها وعدد
من المسؤولين في وزارة الزراعة واعضاء هيئة التدريس في جامعة العلوم
والتكنولوجيا الاردنية.

Safaa, I think you do a great job in keeping those of us who are not in Jordan in touch with the doings of the J
