New Year's Cards: 2005-2022

Princess Basma`s card

The card had upset many in Jordan because it contained a family picture with the princess husband Mr. Walid Kurdi who is fugitive from justice after being convicted in corruption cases.
The card is also signed by the couple & involves the following part of the holly Qorran:
(6) O ye who believe! If a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن جَاءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوا أَن تُصِيبُوا قَوْمًا بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوا عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَادِمِينَ

You are right Samla. I think it was an unfortunate choice & will cause a lot of criticism for the royal family.

I think the family pic was taken last summer . Queen Rania posted a pic from the same collection for Iman & Salma`s birthday. Prince Hussein`s profile pic on Instagram also belongs to same collection.

Thank you Rossina. The pic is different than other years, less formal. Crown Prince Hussein has sent different card before, if I remember well in 2012 to congratulate the 2013.

No dear, it was one card but with two pics & signed by him along with his parents.

The Al Hassan´s card is lovely all grandchildren are growing so fast. Princess Sumaya´s daughter takes after her mum.

Yes, she is more beautiful than her mom IMO. Aysha Batayneh & Soukaina Judeh are also adorable. I hope to see a better quality photo for baby Prince Hassan Jr.
 
It represents Queen Noor with all her descendants (and daughters in-law?)

From left to right: Fahdah with Hussein Haidara, Rayet, Hashim, Fatima al Alia, Rayiah, Hala, Queen Noor, Haya, Iman with Omar Mirza, Noor, Zein, Hamzah & Basma with Badiya.

Without son-in-law Zayed Mirza.
 
It´s cute but I would have preferred a family portrait. She could have include the drawing too on the back.

Very cute, though it is quern Noor and not Rania. Rania has yet to have grandchildren :)


I love itsva drawing from her granddaughter and mot a photo. Nice change and sweet family touch :flowers:
