With QN and QA, it kind of seems KH, possibly in a desire to please them--and, again, not thinking things through--lavished lots of affection on their first born sons--Ali and Hamzah. Ali was named CP for a very short while and we all know what happened with Hamzah. While I believe QN would've lobbied for Hamzah, I don't think QA did for Ali, simply for the reasons you cite. By the time she died, she had had it with life in the royal bubble and spoke to friends about wanting to run away and live in London. I'd always thought she was loved by most people but she did have enemies--as she told Margaret Trudeau--and it was making her "increasingly nervous"--not only about people's feelings toward her but her husband's thoughts. She was pleased she had started building the Princess Haya Centre but said to Mrs. Trudeau "Hussein will be so angry." It's kind of a sad tale actually in so many ways. But she always put on a good face no matter what--which is one of the reasons I respect her so.

I don't think of King Hussein as naive at all. He would have been a very dithering, unaware and gullible person to have something like his successor be chosen by a wife for which he showed little regard. In order for those sort of machinations to take place, he would have had to have been very unsure, shilly-shally and indecisive, but by all accounts he was a decisive, firm, commanding and authoritative person. I don't think anyone could have pulled a major fast one like this over him (unless we're talking about the sort of calculations that could have occured when he was consumed by cancer in his final days).

Besides, Alia doesn't fit the profile of the manipulator, it was her biggest wish to go off and live anonymously with her husband and children, to have a happy home life. She found it so difficult to cope with her husband being King, I don't think she, for her sake or her son's, would have been lobbying overtime to secure Ali as the next king.

her father was not fully Arab, his father married a US woman, from Texas, he was born in US, only his grandparents were from Syria.

I`m able to discuss, it depends on the person I`m talking to, so what, if 1 does not believe media, what should w1 do, ask infos to u ? do u think u know more than a journalist ?

no i dont think so.but i dont believe in all that journalists write.

my dear, as u`re only 18, it`s obvious u repeat what u have heard so many times/ well, there` s a good, serious kind of journalism, too....if u read gossip mags, u must only believe half of it, if u are reading serious mags, and that interview to Hayah was on " CHI", a quite serious mag, full of gossips, but they check be4e writing something, it` not the Sun.... just ask around, they have their own website, maybe I still have the interview, but having followed JRF since 1996, and having many Jordanian friends, u can be sure I check about everything I post here, be4e posting it, I just hate silly, mean rumours....if I`m in this Forum is only `cos I know somethings, but not everything.... as u know, JRF are so secretive about their own life, though back in `99 and in `2000, they all were more outspoiken, many things I heard from a deceaded Forum, I still have the files, the members were Jordanians, if u like, I can send u the files, they knew things about JRF we could not know as we don`t live there/ hate? who spoke about hate, Hayah did not, but she called QN/ my father`s widow/ and did not add anything more, talking alot about her late mum and QR/ an angel sent to earth/ as she herself said in her int. The pix, all taken when KH was alive to please their father, I`m talking about Ali, too/ so, let` not discuss about it, if Ali and Hayah don` tlove QN, I understand them, though QN is in my heart....

so whats so western on her?

her hair are light, her eyes are green, just like Iman`s, Hamzah`s and Hashim`s/ the only thing about her who could be Arab was her nose, her father was darker than her, but she` s very very fair, just like Raiyah, and very tall, too, well, her mum is from Sweden, her mum`s ancestors all came from Scotland and England, but her parents emigrated to US.
