I am happy for Princess Margarita de Bourbon de Parme. All seems to settle well. Her own jewelry design studio seems to flourish, her second marriage is a happy one and her relationship with her aunt Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands is warm and cordial again.

Princess Margarita has a new website for her designs of jewellery and carpets:

De Parme Design - Deparme design

I must say I am not very impressed by the designs. Okay... glittering diamonds set in pure gold but it are all leaves. And oh yes... she has designed a carpet.

Which designer with only one product can get access to the sales departments of Röell Jewellers in Brussels and Steltman Jewellers in The Hague? Only when your name is De Bourbon de Parme...

:whistling:

I think that Jhr. Roell is also involved with the designs. His shop is in Antwerp btw, not in Brussels.

royalty-online writes about an interview of Pss Margarita with the magazine 'Vrouw'.

The princess thinks she is a sweet but strict parent. She gives her daughters clear boundaries and sticks to them. She also thinks that good manners are very important.

She also says that she thinks her children are the most beautiful gift she has received in life, but she still thinks motherhood is much heavier than she could have imagined beforehand. Paola and Julia are noot very interested in their mothers background yet. It is seldom mentioned and their attention usually quicklyfaades: 'of course I am not a princess with a pink dress and a tiara in my hair'. They did ask their mother however what they had to do to become a princess, to which M. replied that they should marry a prince. But princess Margarita emphasized to her daughters that there are few nice princes and that it is much more important to find somebody who is sweet to them.

Princess Margarita de Bourbon de Parme (but all royals in the extended royal family) show it: you can be active in a royal role when requested. No "fulltime" royal position needed.

Her husband also attended. I'm pretty sure the gentleman at the left of the photos is Tjalling ten Cate.

The girls are pretty grown up! And what a lovely clothing style :) Here in Germany the children's stores and departments are also full of penguine-and-fox-stuff.

The princess has really an speaking face - she seems to be deeply emotionally involved with the horse jumping :D

It seems the fashion show was in cooperation with Sheila de Vries, who has been desiging the outfits for princess Beatrix since Theresia Vreugdenhil retired in 2007.

The lady in red is Paulette Schröder, daughter of Martinair founder Martin Schröder and according to the gossip magazines a favourite marriage candidate for the Prince of Orange in the nineties.

Good to see them both. She is again wearing her 'leaves'; earrings from the collection she designed with a Roell. The dress would be nice in combination with the ruby earrings that used to belong to Pss Irene. But some thing they have been stolen during the jewel theft in Margarita's house last year.
