There isn't much to understand, giov: he's a tall, charming, well educated rich man and and avails himself of his qualities
 I saw him last interviewed on the ENIGMA tv show not long ago. That evening the show focused on Princess Mafalda of Savoy who died in Buchenwald concentration camp. Amedeo and his wife Silvia took part in the talk show as well as Princess Maria Gabriella of Savoy. Amedeo is really a charming man IMO, and his wife is a "saint"!

Poor Claude, when she was carrying their second child, Aimone, her husband Amedeo had an affair and another boy with Nerina Corsina. Also Claude was a saint.

Does Nerina Corsini belong to this family Corsini - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ? If she does, I wonder what prompted her to have an affair with a married man.

Exactly, the Corsini family is one of the few princerly families of Florence/Tuscany, this is the reason why she does not need status symbols...

Well ... In light of new information, I have to say that Dona Silvia is an extraordinary woman indeed. Infidelity is a painful matter for any person being cheated on. Infidelity splashed all over magazines is double pain aggravated with public humiliation. As for Duke Amedeo, he certainly enjoys the old school life.

According to wikipedia Amedeo claims the title of Duke of Savoy which is disputed and he also claims to be the rightful head to the House of Savoy here is the link.

Noble titles have been banned in Italy since 1946, and by serving in the Italian army, implies Amedeo swore loyalty to the Italian Republic. So he and his progenie have nothing to claim.

Italian magazine „Grand Hotel” (issue nr 42 from 17.10, p. 61) dedicated a small article to prince Amadeo e more precisely to his his love for special plants called succulents.
The prince together with his wife bought a few years ago the house on the island on Pantelleria. Thanks to the special clima which is reigning in his part of Italy they are able to cultivate these special plants like p.ex. bouganvillea. As far as I remember the prince Amadeo was always doing wishes for Christmas on paper (presented at his website). It's first time for youtube;he was reading the text (especially at the end of speech his eyes were moving in a bit strange way). And the topics as usual:crisis, youth,terrorism, army, ethics and the things which should be preserved: tradition , principles.

I saw him on the TV, and according to the Savoia-Aosta website Princess Silvia was there too. Which is appreciable, but why do Amedeo and Emanuele Filiberto act as if they still were the rulers of this country?

 Amedeo and Emanuele Filiberto look like they are competing, now more than ever! Anyhow, if I am not wrong, they were not given a seat in the VIP area.Princess Silvia works for the Italian Red Cross of Arezzo, that's why she was there.
