I've been reading the posts on Farah Pahvli(sorry about the spelling), and why do you have such feelings for her? Her husband was a tyrant and she may have done some good things for the Iranian people, but she took in all the decadence of the monarchy. She, her husband, and others had their parties while their people starved. As a democrat and an american I'm ashamed of Jimmy Carter and how he allowed the Shah to come to the US. Sure, he was sick, but did he have to come here? And his family is till here in the US, his son has an office in Falls Church, Virginia. I wonder if the Shah's grandchildren know that their grandfather was a criminal responsible for the death's of scores of Iranians. Like Humerea(again sorry) said the US is willing to support a government/monarcy no matter what, as long as it has the USA's interests. It was the US who re-installed the Shah in 1953 I believe. If you want to see a good movie that deals with the post revolution lives of the Shah's elite, rent or buy "House of Sand and Fog." It's also a book by Andre Dubus III, the movie is about a woman who loses her home. The house is bought by a man named Massoud Amir Behrani, he was a colonial the Shah's air force. The colonial, his wife Naderah, and his son have been struggling since they came to the US. I don't want to give the whole story away, but it is a very sad movie.
