List of German-Austrian Royal, Princely and Mediatised Families

Hi there,

I am trying to make a list of royal and noble lines from Germany, with their current heads. This task seems to be pretty hard as there aren't many information about it floating around. Maybe we can do that together! Can somebody add more lines and houses with their heads? Any help would be appreciated! Maybe we can make a great list!

Thanks for your input and thoughts everybody!

From what I've read it looks like Rasso is the current head of the Cramer-Klett-family. As he inherits the title Freiherr its more than possible. But I didn't found a listing about the family at Wikipedia, so I'm not absolutely sure.

Are you sure about the heads of the Houses of Stolberg-Wernigerode and Oettingen-Spielberg? I think their heads are Christian-Heinrich, Prinz zu Stolberg-Wernigerode and
Albrecht-Ernst, 11. Fürst zu Oettingen-Oettingen und Oettingen-Spielberg. Or are they deceased? Any info would be great help for me!

Hello everyone. Hope all is well. I am trying find some information that maybe you might be able to help. I am looking into two families through my mother grandmothers side. My grandmother father was named Otto babet (legally changed name from babetzki, Babetski). His mother was named Henrietta Lowe (according to relatives Henrietta went by the name as Henrietta von Lowe) she had a sister named milchia Von Lowe who married a von Braun. Relatives state that the von Braun’s might be related to Werner von braun but a distant connection. My 2nd great grandfather hen rich babetzki did not like the von brauns because they were too aristocratic. They family are originally from plotzkau, Germany where apparently owned some lands. Henrietta had two brothers who were in the Prussian army but one of them played he violin for kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany. Henrietta was engaged to a Prussian officer but no one did not know what had happened to the relationship. Heinrich babetzki later would go to Argentina to maintain the family lands. Heinrich worked in the family stables in Germany. According to my mother as she was told but not sure if correct that she was told that Henrietta was a baroness but no evidence as of yet. Henrietta was born abt 1879 poltzkau germany. Still am unable to find any information on the von Lowe family, or could be named as von Loewe.
Another family that I have been in research for many years with a constant dead end is my 3rd great grandfather Paul Pauli. I have a written story by my great grandmother Loretta ruppelt stating that Paul Pauli is of royal birth but when he married hedwick Vogt his family disowned him. It further continues that Paul Pauli heard his father was dying named made a trip to see him. He returned I’ll and hedwick found him sitting under a tree and died a short time later. His first child was born in 1869 named Maria. Also had a son named Paul jr. but with no date as of yet. They were born in khant chemmelitz (scholsengan) Prussia. This location is currently now as Katy wrokrauski, Poland. Scholsengan is another version of Silesia, Prussia. Hedwick Vogt remarries to gotlieb rupppelt and had three daughters first named Emma born in 1877. I believe that Pauli has died abt 1875 where gotliebs first wife Christeanna dorn who died in 1875. Dorn was my 3rd great grandmother having my 2nd great grandfather robert Ruppelt. I believe with my research is that Pauli might have been one of the sons to gebhard von Bucher d1875. The von Bluchers resided in Krieblowitz which is 2 miles from the where Pauli has lived. Pauli carries he title as count of Berlin according to my mother, but I believed it was a residence that the Von bluchers has in Berlin which is now the us embassy. The von bluchers were all titled as counts while the first child was rightfully titled as count but also hereditary prinz. Pauli died abt 1878 believe in Katy wrokrawski. Hope anyone can help me discovering some insight on these families. I am also trying to find any photos of the von Lowe’s and Von bluchers. I have seen pics of the famous von bluchers but hopefully there is pics of his descendants. Thank you. Chris fraser
