List of German-Austrian Royal, Princely and Mediatised Families

Hi there,

I am trying to make a list of royal and noble lines from Germany, with their current heads. This task seems to be pretty hard as there aren't many information about it floating around. Maybe we can do that together! Here is now a list of the royal houses with their heads, which I have already compiled:

- Anhalt-Askanien: Eduard Prinz von Anhalt (*1941)
- Baden: Maximilian Markgraf von Baden (*1933)
- Bayern: Franz Prinz von Bayern (*1933)
- Bismarck: Ferdinand Fürst von Bismarck (*1930)
- Habsburg: Otto von Habsburg (*1912)
- Hohenlohe-Bartenstein: Ferdinand Michael Fürst zu Hohenlohe-Bartenstein (*1942)
- Hohenlohe-Jagstberg: Alexander Prinz zu Hohenlohe-Jagstberg (*1937)
- Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst: Friedrich Karl Fürst zu Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst (*1933)
- Hohenzollern: Georg Friedrich Prinz von Preußen (*1976)
- Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen: Friedrich Wilhelm Prinz von Hohenzollern (*1924)
- Liechtenstein: Hans Adam Fürst von Liechtstein (*1945)
- Lippe: Armin Prinz zur Lippe-Detmold (*1924)
- Mecklenburg-Strelitz: Borwin Herzog zu Mecklenburg (*1956)
- Neipperg: Joseph Hubert Graf von Neipperg (*1918)
- Oldenburg: Anton Günther Herzog von Oldenburg (*1923)
- Reuss: 2012 - Heinrich XIV Prinz Reuss (b 1955)
- Salm-Salm: Carl-Philipp Prinz zu Salm-Salm (*1933)
- Schaumburg-Lippe: Alexander Prinz zu Schaumburg-Lippe (*1958)
- Schoenaich-Carolath: Friedrich Prince of Schoenaich-Carolath (*1943)
- Schwarzenberg: Karl Prinz zu Schwarzenberg (*1937)
- Schleswig-Holstein: Christoph Prinz zu Schleswig-Holstein (*1949)
- Waldeck-Pyrmont: Wittekind Prinz zu Waldeck und Pyrmont (*1936)
- Wettin: Maria Emanuel Markgraf von Meißen (*1926)
- Wrede: Carl Friedrich Oskar Melchior Fürst von Wrede (*1942- )
- Württemberg: Carl Herzog von Württemberg (*1975)

Can somebody add more lines and houses with their heads? Any help would be appreciated! Maybe we can make a great list!

Thanks for your input and thoughts everybody!

From what I've read it looks like Rasso is the current head of the Cramer-Klett-family. As he inherits the title Freiherr its more than possible. But I didn't found a listing about the family at Wikipedia, so I'm not absolutely sure.

Are you sure about the heads of the Houses of Stolberg-Wernigerode and Oettingen-Spielberg? I think their heads are Christian-Heinrich, Prinz zu Stolberg-Wernigerode and
Albrecht-Ernst, 11. Fürst zu Oettingen-Oettingen und Oettingen-Spielberg. Or are they deceased? Any info would be great help for me!
