I am just starting to read about the German royals. When the 1918 Revolution erupted in Stuttgart, did King Wilhelm have to leave or was the revolution non-violent?

King Wilhelm II. and Queen Charlotte had to leave Stuttgart in 1918. The lived than in Bebenhausen, nr Tübingen where Wilhelm II. died in 1921. He even decided that at his funeral the funeral-cortege should not go through Stuttgart.

He was disappointed, because the revolutionairs almost stormed into the Wilhelmspalais where the Royal Couple lived and the had to leave within a few hours.

Btw. For those who are interested and have the possibilty to go Until 04. february there is a big Exhibition Königreich Württemberg at the Alte Schloß in Stuttgart because last year it was 200 years that Württemberg has become a Kingdom.

Doesn´t seem they´ll have some children. Both are married now since more than one year and were over 40 at their marriage. But I expect a third child for Fleur and her husband in the near future.
