According to some articles Frida has fallen in love with multi-millionaire W H Smith heir Henry Smith.
"According to friends it was a coup de foudre for Henry, who has fallen madly in love with the striking, thrice-married brunette despite a ten-year age gap - Frida is 62 and Smith 52."
The couple have rarely been out of each other's company since meeting seven months ago, and Smith now spends most of his time in Switzerland where Frida has a home in the exclusive ski resort of Zermatt.

Excuse my ignorance on this topic, but is Frida still married? I have only just discovered that she became a princess (I have always been an ABBA fan).

Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but doesn't the House of Reuss use a numbering system (roughly lasting a century or so) when naming all the male members of the family?

And also, who is the overall head of the House of Reuss?

True, they are all called Heinrich, to honour Heinrich VI, Holy Roman Emperor. At some point they stop counting and start again with no I, II etc. but I am not sure when that happened. They counted well over 50 when they did.

There are various branches, the head of the branch Reuss-Kostritz is Fuerst Henrich IV.

And one branch started to number new each century: Originally there where the Houses Reuß older line and younger line. The older line died out in 1927 with Heinrich XXIV. the last Fürst Reuß zu greiz. He reigned never because he was mentally il. The line reuß tzu Schleiz died out when Heinrich XLV was missed in the Second World War. The remaining line Reuß zu Köstiritz is a junior line of the House Reuß younger line to whom also the Schleiz line belonged. See Genealogy here: Reuss

Thanks for that genealogy page . . . . interesting to note that some of the numbers got really high

Yeah I saw that Heinrich XLV wasn't declared dead until 1962 . . . .

12 June 2008

According to the Osthuringer Zeiting the process that princess Woizlawa-Feodora and Prince Heinrich XIII Reuss tried to start to get 8 houses back in Gera not been accepted by the court, the case won't be re-opened.

Shortly after WWII the real estate of prince Heinrich XLV was confiscated by the Soviets, something which was illigal according to some, as he was a British citizen and foreigners were exemted from these confications. A court in 2005 already denied the princess and prince their claim.

A new document should however prove that the British nationality of Prince Heinrich XLV was ignored on purpose by the soviets and they hidden documents to prove that he was. The court re-opened the case but did not come to another verdict.

Reuss

The current head of the Reuss family is HEINRICH IV Pr Reuss, Fürst Reuss zu Köstritz (b. 10-26-1919) married to Marie Luise Pss zu Salm-Horstmar (b. 8-18-1918). Heinrich IV became the head of the Reuss family in 1962 when Heinrich XLV Furst Reuss zu Schleiz was declared dead (he had gone missing in 1945).

Warren, I'm happy to see persistence in the attempts to re-establishing her, and her family's, rights. I hope it go well.

Thank you very much for your effort in setting the record straight regarding the very strange post # 46, Warren. After having read it before, I just returned to this thread to copy the key 'information' about the allegations and try to cross-check, as I did not believe it.
Thanks again that you resolved it instead.
