He is a member of a cadet branch of the Princely Family; he is a descendant of Prince Maximilian Joseph (1769-1831), the youngest son of Fürst Alexander Ferdinand; Maximilian Joseph's elder brother Fürst Karl Anselm is ancestor of the current Fürst.

I have to say that Princess Elisabeth has got an odd sense of fashion ... Perhaps it is a hereditary thing ...

Maybe it's just to overshadow that she looks a bit, well, how to say? Okay, can't find anything positive so I keep my mouth shut.

Thanks for posting photos of Furstin Gloria!
The wedding was a grand affair. Furst Albert and Furstin Gloria appeared to be genuinely happy. I liked Mr. Schweigert's photos very much: conservative Furstin Gloria in a reflective mood.

Glad that you liked it. They are my favourite German Royal family.
A pity that Johannes died so early. And a pity that Albert is still single. A wedding in the house Thurn und Taxis would be great.

I read on his sister's blog that Albert is in Switzerland. Any idea what he is doing there? Has he been connected to any young noble woman yet?

Albert is in Switzerland for two reasons:
1) saving taxes
2) working there as trainee.
I guess he works there for a switzer bank, because there is a switzer bank renting rooms in the Emmeram castle.

So taxes are less in Switzerland than Germany?

Switzerland is known to be a tax haven, that's why wealthy people often keep their money there to avoid paying taxes in their own countries.

Prince Albert lives and works in Switzerland as well as claims it to be his primary residence, thereby avoiding bigger taxes in Germany. Have I understood you correctly? If so, who claims St. Emmeram as the primary residence? Furtsin Gloria?

No one. Gloria lives in Rome and in winter in Kenia, the Princesses live in London, Paris, New York and Albert lives now in Zürich ( he lived the last years in Edingburgh, where he studied). The T'n'T family has homes all around the planet, they don't need to live in Emmeram necessarily.
( They have a family flat in Paris, a house in Rome, a "farm" in Kenia ( including houses for Alexander and Irina)......)
Note: You can live 180 days a year in Germany without paying taxes. If you live 181 days a year, you have to pay taxes for the whole year on everything ( income taxes, taxes for your firms etc.). But no one can control it really, Cause GB, Italy, France is EU without controls. It's harder with switzerland, but even they have "open borders" ( no date stamp in passport).

It has been most kind of you to clarify the situation. I have to say that the Thurn und Taxises, like anyone might do in their place, takes a full advantage of certain loopholes in the German tax regulations.

Princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis, Countess Isa von Hardenberg and
Count Andreas von Hardenberg attend the President's annual summer
garden party hosted by newly-elected German President Christian Wulff
and his wife First Lady Bettina Wulff at Schloss Bellevue on July 2, 2010
in Berlin, Germany. The party was Wulff's first official event as president
following his confirmation ceremony earlier in the day.

Gloria also has a loft in the Chelsea area of Manhattan. There is an article about it in the latest issue of W. She says Albert is working on his Phd in philosophy.

Thanks for the photos!
Furtsin Gloria appears to genuinely enjoy the event. A polka dot dress does not match Gucci shoes well though.
