I think it proves for being one of the wealthiest aristocratic families...money cannot buy good taste. Gloria is a little scary looking in some of those pictures.
Poor Albert, only 22 and losing his hair it looks like.

The "scary Gloria" pics were taken 15-20 years ago. She is very much more demure these days, and dresses like the corporate businesswoman she is. Whatever people had to say about her when she married, she has proved to be the saviour of the T'nT patrimony.
Albert is taking after his father in regard to his hair (and not much else, I trust!).

I thought the dresses looked a little to "80's"....
She is certainly expressive...

Gloria is dressed quite demurely, apart from the red scarf which adds a splash of colour. And she still has her "Pilgrimage to Lourdes" hairstyle, which I find a bit sackcloth and ashes.
Maria Theresia and Elisabeth are playing dress-ups, as the young and the rich tend to do in New York.

Basic detail: - HSH Albert, 12th Fürst von Thurn und Taxis, Prince zu Buchau, Prince von Krotoszyn, Duke zu Wörth & Domaustauf, Princely Count zu Friedberg-Scheer, Count zu Valsássina, zu Marchtal and zu Neresheim, etc, b 24 June 1983.
- HSH Princess Maria Theresia, b 28 Nov 1980
- HSH Princess Elisabeth, b 24 March 1982.
I would imagine Albert is learning the ropes of the family businesses while his sisters page through the Almanach de Gotha looking for suitable husbands. :)

Thanks for these Beatrice, the photo of Albert is a good one. :)
As to the second pic of "Princess Caroline, daughter of Prince Viktor of the Bohemian branch", I can't find any mention of either in the genealogical data or the Almanach de Gotha.

On the website of the Princely Family, I was looking through the photographs, and came across one of a beautiful crypt where the members of the family are buried. It is such a beautiful crypt, and I was wondering if it was open to the public to visit? Also, if anyone had any other photographs of the crypt. It is, in my opinion, a very beautiful resting place for the members of the family.

They are one of the grand Princely families from the old Holy Roman Empire. The family has preserved and built on its wealth by operating businesses. So they do two things: continue the family traditions, and adapt to the modern world. The Thurn und Taxis are great survivors.
