Correct me if I am wrong. Is this the family that was intertwined with Vanderbilt's family custody hearing in the 1930's I believe.

Yes. I believe it was Prince Gottfried who later married The Duke of Edinburgh's eldest sister Princess Margarita of Greece and Denmark who was linked to Mrs. Vanderbilt.
Mrs. Vanderbilt was also rumored to be involved with Philip's Russian-born aunt, Nada who was the second Marchioness of Milford Haven and in the parlance of the day "a famous lesbian".

Princess Beatrix died in 1997 in Schwaebisch-Hall,unmarried...Her brother Fuerst Kraft died in 2004 having had 2 marriages. He firstly married Princess Charlotte von Croy(and has Cecile,Xenia and Philipp) and later Irma Pospesch(no children).Another brother Albrecht brother committed suicide in 1992,having been married to Maria Hildegarde-Fisher and having a son-Ludwig Ferdinand.Prince Ruprecht died in 1976 unmarried.
The only one who is still alive out of all children is Prince Andreas who married Princess Luise von Schoenburg-Waldenburg and has two daughters with her.Elder one Princess Katharina married Prince Nikolaus von Waldeck und Pyrmont and the second one Tatjana Louise is still unmarried...
Here is a link for a picture from Marlene's musings where you can see Beatrix on the far right:

Hereditary Prince Maximilian of Hohenlohe-Bartenstein who will turn 41 in five days [oldest of five children of Prince Ferdinand of Hohenlohe-Bartenstein (b.1942) & his late wife Franziska, nee Princess of Oettingen-Oettingen and Oettingen-Spielberg (1947-2011)] will marry soon (or has already married?) Cristina Vozzi Castriota Scanderbeg (b.1980)

His brother Felix also married a woman named Cristina...What a coincidence!

Hohenlohe-Bartenstein
Prince Felix of Hohenlohe-Bartenstein (b.27 December 1973) [son of Ferdinand, Fürst zu Hohenlohe-Bartenstein (b.1942) & his late wife Franziska, nee Princess of Oettingen-Oettingen and Oettingen-Spielberg (1947-2011)]
& his wife Christina, nee Gutierrez Maturana-Larios y Kalachnikoff (b.1972) had their first child, Alexandra, this year.
For Fürst Ferdinand, it is a debut as a grandfather.
