Lovely pictures of Alexia and Arietta. It's very rare to see pictures of them. And Arietta has grown up so much. She resembles her father quite a bit, doesn't she? Interesting picture (I think it's the last one) of Alexia and two other friends pushing their kids in strollers. Maybe they had just left a parent and me playgroup?

Has anyone heard yet whether or not Alexia's baby has been born? Today is the due date. So far it hasn't been posted on the Greek Royal Family website if the baby has been born.

Thanks for the pictures of Arrietta. I seem not have seen many pictures of her after her christening. It is very thrilling to see if she will get a new little sister or a brother.

No baby news, but some recent pictures taken of Alexia in Barcelona, "heavily pregnant" as stated by www.polfoto.dk.

What a nice honour for Queen Anne Marie. She must be absolutely tickled pink to not only have a new healthy granddaughter but one who is also named after her.

Princess Alexia speaks Spanish with her husband because I don't imagine that he would speak Greek being from the Canary Islands. Princess Alexia spoke of her baby and her name, Ana-Maria. She said they were very happy. I am taking Spanish in school so I can understand it better than I can speak it.

Princess Alexia's voice is deep. I didn't think it was before I saw the video.

The news commentator also said that Ana-Maria was named after her maternal grandmother, Queen Anne-Marie of Greece. She said that the mother's parents and the father's parents, Carlos Morales and Arrietta were very happy.

The baptism of princess Anna Maria will take place here in Greece at Spetses Island (Spetsopoula)!!!
All the members of The Greek Royal Family will come to Greece, including queen Sophia of Spain and princess Irene.
As told the baptism will be in a few days, until the 15th of this month!

The President of Greece is ok about this? Isn't he normally the one who has a cow everytime the GRF comes to Greece? Isn't he the one who allways trys to keep them out of Greece? Can someone please explain what is going on around the fact that the GRF is now seemly able to come to and out of Greece as they PLEASE(??)!! Is there a reason? Are they being more and more excepted? Is it possible for them to return to Greece anytime soon to live or not? Is it still that they will have to give up their titles? Like the Savoy's?

I know so many questions, but, I have been absent from the boards..

Thanks for all your help!

Could this be the place for the baptism ? : Spetsopoula :http://homepage.swissonline.ch/PACO/Grecia...petsopoula.html

Spetses is the southernmost of the Saronic Gulf islands : http://www.meledon.com/

Do you have a link to an online article about the baptism ?

I have heard about this island as being a possible choice for the baptism, but I hadn't heard that the baptism would take place on July 15th. Arrietta was born February 24th and wasn't baptised until June 30th. I was expecting Anna-Maria to be baptised in September. Maybe this was the best date for the family to all be together. I've been checking the official Greek royal family site to find out about the baptism. So far they haven't mentioned it. If I recall correctly Arrietta's baptism wasn't mentioned until a week before it actually happened so they could announce this one the same way.

I am very surprised by the announcement that the baptism will take in Greece! Very wonderful for the family and for Ana-Maria to have her baptism take place in the country her mother was born in and to which her maternal family is so rooted to (even if they do not live there).

Quite a momentous occasion for the royal family. How did this happen?
