The families you mention are very powerful and almost all of them are shipping heirs.It is very possible to see them there.And you are right about Thanopoulos,that's for sure.

Theodore Pangalos once threw me out of his office.It is a long story.Asking me how I kept my figure was enough he asked if there was diet book and I said if I gave it to him he would probably eat it. -But Liana Kanelli is a decent person[ at least she is not an atheist] though communist- she used to say hello to me every time we met outside the home of a very eponymous Greek. But knowingheras little as I do she would want the king to go to her office. Samaras I have to wonder about as he still needs the general vote and his going may well be interpreted as pro monarchy.I want to see what Zoe Laskari Lykourezos will wear- never mind the bride- what is Zoe going to wear?She has as much jewellery as any princess.
In Greece Zoe- is the nuclear arsenal of nobility glamour and elegance. Hope to see them all there-
That is going to be a beautiful wedding. for sure.......

First you criticize to the Principe Nikolas, and his wedding and then you do a list of wedding.. I do not see a interview to the Prince Nikolaos.

Well you pushed him to the limits. :p He's intelligent but very rude.And he has issues with accepting different points of view.Apparently he is not the only one.

It is a fact that i don't like Nikolao at all.But what's that supposed to mean,that i don't have the right to discuss about his wedding and his possible Greek guests?:)This is ridiculous,that's why it is called a discussion board.I also have made many possitive posts about Irene,Anna Marie and about their heritage.They don't count? Well i'm sorry for supporting my opinion..Don't be that narrow minded.

I am so glad I found this forum a couple of months ago. I'm in the U.S. and the nuptials of Victoria and Daniel were not mentioned in the mainstream media (unless I fell asleep). I wouldn't have known anything about it without this forum. I'm sure it will be the same with the media for the Greek wedding. Thanks to everyone for making comments and furthering my education re: royalty.

If he was that intelligent he would not be morbidly obese- he would have control of his own body.And then he would convince me that he could have a proper influence over the nation.
Maybe he will be able to smell the delicacies from Spetses wedding- which should be spectacular and wet his palate from afar as he is a glutton..
I wonder what the wedding tourta will be like or if they will have a wedding cake with many tiers.
What will the bombonieres be like? Kastalia give it up I want to get in to a suit by Louis Vuitton this fall and am refraining and exercizing to stay in shape-
Will the Grand Duchess and Duke of Luxembourg go? Have you any idea?
Are they still alowed to pelt the couple when the priest chants Isahaiah dance with rice.. at the religious service?Will Nikolas give Tatiana her floral bouquet as is the tradition in Greece at the church steps as he greets her I wonder if they will keep these traditions.
In a Greek wedding they do not necessarily meet inside the church but outside especially if the weather is conducive.

Nikolopoulos I am not in Greece and I do not keep up so pls explain why Samaras might not be invited-without residual laughter? or attend I have not been to Greece in a long time-
and the friends I had are now in the First National Cemetery.So I rarely if ever visit.

I've been waiting for *someone* to mention this very important fact about all of this. Not only is their Representitive, but isn't Frederick also the Danish Olympic Commitee President? As lovely as it would be for him to attend the Wedding, believe me when I say there would have been cries of protest that could have been heard on the Moon w/little problem if he didn't attend The Youth Olympics.

I honestly don't see what all the fuss is about frankly and I'm willing to bet that if the Bridal Couple heard about the fuss online about all of this, they'd be either laughing their heads off about it or thinking something else entirely. I'm sure they understand, especially as they picked a date in the middle of the week and not a weekend as is usual for most Weddings these days. Especially since the date wasn't announced until June. At least not publicly.

Anyway, time now to look towards the Wedding Day and if Mary's bump will be showing itself, as I'm sure that'll be next big thing. Almost as many photos of Mary will be taken along w/pictures of the Bride and her Attendants I'm willing to bet.

I have no idea about Grand Duchess and Duke of Luxembourg! (Are they even close to them?) I think that the traditions you mention are going to be held.

KittyAtlanta, i was also very glad when i found this forum 5-6 years ago,it took me long to sign in and sometimes it took me many months to comment ( i remember once i haven't made comments and posts for 18 months) but i kept visiting.I advise you to visit the ''General Royal Discussion'' and the subforums concerning Royal History (for example Norwegian Royal History,Swedish Royal History etc).:flowers:

I know the question is not to me but I want to say about it. Antonis Samaras is not monarchical, he represents a New Democracy, this is the second political party in Greece,, this is not a political party of monarchical ideology. . Misotakis was President of New Democracy and Prime Minister of Greece, but the political party is not monarchical,some politicians who were identified with the monarchy united with the years to New Democracy. He is a friend of King Constantine, I think he will be at the wedding but Samaras no. today in the New Democracy have been many conflicts between Dora, who is the daughter of Misotakis and Samaras is the president. Samaras has removed to Dora of Party in the Parliament. Misotakis defends to his daughter against Samaras.This is difficult to explain and I think it should not talk here , I think Misotakis may be in the wedding and Dora. Samaras it is impossible. misotakis is friend of constantine, Samaras is a politician

Prince Charles and his wife Camilla could represent the British Royal Family, other prominent guests will be members of the House Asian and Greek aristocracy (Vardoyannis, Livanos, Lapsis ..) Yes, I have read it about wedding, but nothing is official. Spetses has a cathedral and a monastery , and I have read that it could be in monastery. I have a friend that say it has more space and in a better location for wedding celebration.

^Both Ant1 and STAR Channel will surely cover the event.I actually think that their owners (Kyriakou-Vardinogiannis) will attend the wedding.
 
In 2006 I saw a wedding on T.V which was called "the Great Indian wedding". It was the wedding of Indian hotelier Vikram Chatwal and model Priya Sachdev. It was a multi-million dollar wedding. The wedding was attended by Prince Nikolaos of Greece, Naomi Campbell, Lakshmi Mittal, Patricia Velasquez, several Indian celebrities. Former President Bill Clinton toasted the couple.

As much as I remember, The Travel and Living channel (India) Interviewed Prince Nikolaos for a few minutes/seconds.

The Prince Nikolaos said in February that Princess Victoria would be invited to his wedding and I see that this is true

Who will represent to the English royal house? I have read that could be Prince Charles and Camilla, but is it official?
 
No one has engagements listed on the British Royal Website until the 27th August.
If someone was going, they would have announced it by now.

It is possible that the interior of the monastery has no images of the celebration, the images could be arriving the guests and departure of guests from the monastery, inside I do not think so. I think Star will have it, but ANT1, Live not, though it has to 20:00 the news.We will have to wait to see the programming of the next week.I have read that there will be many foreign journalists
 
So, do you think either of these will broadcast the whole wedding live? Will anyone outside Greece be able to view the wedding online like we did for Crown Princess Victoria's, Crown Prince Frederik's, Crown Prince Haakon's and other weddings?
 
^That's hard to tell.It depends on how popular they are at US.
The weddings you mention were huge events and gained large publicity because Victoria,Frederik and Haakon will reign one day.Plus,each wedding had it's interest due to other reasons: future Queen married her trainer,future King married an Australian commoner and Mette Marit was critisized a lot about her past so everyone was curious about them.Nikolaos won't reign so it depends on how Americans are interested in him.I think that everyone will mention it but i'm not sure if it's going to be available online.

They should be. Nikolaos is, after all, their uncle. And the children of Princess Alexia should be present,too.
 
I think that if this wedding would be in London would have more royal guests and this would call more attention. but I think in Greece, the number of guests is reduced and its level decreases.
The wedding of Princess Alexia had a high representation of all the European monarchies. In the Spanish press has been published that it will be private. it will not have images in direct, no pictures of ceremony
