Son Alexia Grecia baptized before Queen and Infantas in Lanzarote The minor son of Alexia of Greece and Carlos Morales was baptized today in Lanzarote, in a ceremony to which they represented the Queen Sofia, the Infantas Elenas and Cristina, as well as Constantino and Ana Maria of Greece. The ceremony of the baptism of Carlos, the third son of the couple, it was celebrated in the church of Our Lady of The Remedies, one of the most ancient architectural monuments of Canaries and which building of raised in the limits of Timanfaya's current National Park, in Yaiza's locality, to the south of the island. Guests, between whom also they were the husband of the Infanta Elena, Jaime de Marichalar, Dona Irene, sister of the Queen Sofia, and the brothers of Alexia of Greece, between them Paul of Greece and his wife, Marie-Chantal Miller, and the parents of Carlos Morales, Maria Teresa Quintana and Miguel Morales. Likewise, there came to the baptism numerous relatives and friends of the couple, between whom the businessman was lanzaroteño Jose Calero, one of the persons who influenced in order that Alexia and his husband were fixing their residence in the island. The Queen Sofia and her daughters, as well as Jaime de Marichalar and Constantino and Ana Maria of Greece, were got at their arrival to the church by the mayor of Yaiza, Jose Francisco Reyes, and his wife, Antonia Torres. Dona Sofía, who came yesterday to Lanzarote to be present at the baptism of the third son of her niece, was at the beginning of this week in the island accompanying the King Juan Carlos in the commemoration of the trigésimo anniversary of his access to the throne. The ceremony of the baptism extended for space of approximately forty five minutes and, to its end, the guests moved up to a restaurant of the urbanization Port Calero, locality in which Alexia and her husband reside, to celebrate the event with a luncheon. As neighbor of the municipality of Yaiza, Alexia of Greece has taken part in several social acts and has coupled events as a ditch of candle or the creation of the Museum of Cetacean of Port Calero. Yaiza's municipality is one of the most ancient of Canaries and it commemorated last year six hundred years of its foundation, since it was created six centuries ago by means of a bulla of the dad Benedicto XIII, during the reign of Enrique II of Castile.

I noticed that Sofia, Anne Marie and Alexia were wearing little blue ribbons with bos on their jacket collars. What is the significance of these ribbons? Are they something for baby Carlos? Or something representing a social cause?

But it's questionable whether even these hugely popular, increasingly glamorous future Queens will ever capture the world's imagination in the same way as Diana. The blue bows were also worn at Constantine-Alexios' baptism, so I doubt it has to do with any opposition to violence against women. Blue and white are the Greek colours, so I think that's why the ribbons are worn.

Princess Alexia looks BEAUTIFUL! I love her hair!!!
Anyway, everyone else looks very nice too. I'm glad it was such a nice and big family event. Not to be rude, but is it just me, or is Princess Theodora getting a bit chubby? The first pictures of her on this thread are her in regular clothes and she looks like she's been doing the same thing as most American college students - EATING! :) I don't think I'm too out of place in saying this, since I too am an American college student with poor eating habits. Hopefully it's just a phase for her though - such a pretty young lady.
