So the Duchesse de Vendôme is becoming the new Comtesse de Paris . How about the widow of Henri : Micaela ? Will she get another title?

She would be the dowager countess of Paris or could choose to be known as the princess of Joinville again.

I suppose she will be known simply as the the Dowager Countess of Paris ( la comtesse douairière de Paris).

That's indeed why La Couronne stated that he took the tilte of Comte de Paris as the message itself wasn't about the new title.

Now that Henri the Older and Henri the Younger passed away , at least fresh air for the Orléans . Was the hardy handicaped Prince François still alive , Prince jean was the Regent (his Father(s will)!

It would be more in line with recent tradition if he would be Count of Clermont. Maybe Duke de Vendôme can be used for his younger brother Joseph. Though personally I wouldn't mind seeing the title Prince of Condé revived.

Lovely...well articulated...emphasizing love and duty to both his ancestors and to France.

I am happy that he will assume the title of Comte de Paris and not simply continue as Duc de Vendome as was speculated.
