I would like to add that the "wedding weekend" will start on Friday evening with a dinner and continue on Saturday with the ceremony and a long, long banquet!

I might be wrong (hope not!) but I think this wedding ceremony and celebrations will be Perfect! IMO Diane wouldn't be happy if the wedding was only an emotional and romantic event. She seems the kind of girl who likes to belong to the upper class, therefore she will want to have a wedding in conformity with her rank.

Contrary to other countries in Europe, Portuguese parents feel proud to pay the wedding party for their children. (In low classes, people start saving money when girls are born!!). So usually the weddings are always precious, big and full of people. A Wedding is still a very important event for any Portuguese family.

No matter what people said about them, he is a prince of the French Royal family and the tittle of Duke of Anjou was g¡ven to him by his uncle the chief of the royal family, the other duke of Anjou, has no right to use the title as he is a spanish commoner.
All the presidents of France as well as all royal families recognize the Orléans as the French Royal Family.
What is more important is the human quality of both of them.

Diana de Cadaval e Charles D’Orléans: Os pormenores do casamento


Next June 21st, Diana Álvares Pereira de Melo, Duchess of Cadaval, and Prince Charles-Philippe d'Orléans, Duke of Anjou, will get married in the Cathedral of Évora. The wedding will be attended by nearly 400 guests, coming from all around the world.

Since her father, D. Jaime, 10th Duke of Cadaval, has already passed away, the bride will enter the church accompanied by her godfather, D. Duarte de Bragança.

A group of nine pageboys and flowergirls will escort Diana down the aisle, including D.ª Maria Francisca de Bragança, daughter of Duke and Duchess of Bragança.

The religious ceremony will be presided by the emeritus archbishop of Évora, D. Jorge Quintal Maurílio de Gouveia.

On this special day, Diana will be wearing an exclusive creation by Carolina Herrera, who is a longtime friend of the family, along with a family tiara, with more than a century, which was used for the last time at the wedding of the bride's great grandparents. It's an exquisite jewellery piece with diamonds and pearls, set on white gold.

The groom, on his turn, will be dressed in a special creation by the house of Christian Dior.

The wedding bands were made by Van Cleef & Arpels, in the famous Place Vendôme in Paris.

The guests were asked to wear tail-coats and the ladies to use hats.

Diana de Cadaval and Charles d'Orleans will have 16 wedding testimonies, among which is D.ª Isabel (Duchess of Bragança), Prince Jean of France (Duke of Vendôme and cousin of the groom), Prince François d'Orléans (brother of the groom), Alexandra of Cadaval (sister of the bride), the Duke of Feria and Countess Cornelia Brandolini d'Adda (cousin of the bride).

After the religious ceremony, a lunch will be served at the Cadaval Palace.

I can add that uniforms will be allowed too. The guests may also wear miniatures of Orders but only if Dinastic or State Orders.

For the dinner of Friday evening the code dress is black tie.

Charles-Philipp's parents announce only: "...marriage of their son charlles Philippe." That's all. Very curious, isn't it?
