The future duke and duchess of Franco were present at the annual mass at Les Invalides. For some reason no member of the house of France attended.

Louis XIV established Les Invalides.
Don Luis Alfonso de Borbón is a direct descendant of Louis XIV.
Probably that is the reason for his attendance?
The Orléans do not descend from Louis XIV but from his father Louis XIII.

It's a pity again and again to see this nice woman on every picture so devoted to her self-absorbed husband...

Of course, I never met these people. But my impression ist that she is a lovable, warm hearted person and he is a kind of o reptile... I really hope to be wrong.

I do not agree with the claim of Don Luis Alfonso de Borbón y Martínez Bordiú on the throne of France, but for the rest he seems a likeable man to me, doing no one wrong. So I am surprised that you classify Don Luis Alfonso (picture) as "a reptile".

Oh, he is very good looking. Never would tell anything else. But I never saw a picture of him where he is smiling or laughing or even looking in his wife's direction.

Every kind of interaction between this people seems to come from her. She touches him, she looks at him, she kisses him.

And I never saw a picture where he is giving a loving gesture back.

Compared to Victoria of Sweden and her husband, or for example to King Willem Alexander and Maxima - there seems to be more chemistry.

Maybe this is simply the bigger number of published pictures of these other couples.

Luis Alfonso de Borbón supports that the remains of the penultimate king of France remain in Slovenia.

"I think that Charles X wanted to be buried here, and I think things should remain that way": with this phrase, Louis Alfonso de Bourbon wanted to settle the claims of some French monarchists that the remains of the last king Bourbon - and penultimate king of France , Before Luis Felipe de Orleans - return to their homeland.

The current legitimist suitor - who claims to be heir precisely from Charles X - traveled last week to Slovenia, and visited the Franciscan monastery of Kostanjevica, which houses a crypt with the tombs of Charles X and his family: his wife Maria Teresa of Savoy , His son and heir the Duke of Angouleme (who restored absolutism in Spain in 1823), named Louis XIX by the Legitimists, as well as his grandchildren the Count of Chambord (Henry V according to the supporters of this monarchical branch) and Louis, Duke Of Parma.

Luis Alfonso said that accepting the return of the mortal remains of Carlos X would be "to accept the end of the hope of restoration", so he bet because they remain in that monastery of Slovenia.

Some monarchist groups in France have long campaigned for the remnants of Charles X and his family to be repatriated from that monastery of Slovenia to his country, to be buried in the Basilica of Saint-Denis in Paris, where the remains Of all the kings of France, from the Frankish Dagobert I (603-639) to Louis XVIII, predecessor of Charles X.

This position of Luis Alfonso de Borbón has angered some monarchist activists and specialists in that historical period. He was recalled that on other occasions he was in favor of facilitating the return of the ashes and mortal remains of these members of the French royalty to his country.

In addition, others deny him the right to decide on the remains of Charles X for not actually being a direct descendant, while descendants of the last king Bourbon of France yes they stand firm in the support to that they return.

Why should Luis Alfonso have any say in this matter? He is not a descendant of Charles X and neither is he the head of the French royal family. That he assumes titles of pretence is one thing, but why deny a king his final resting place among his anscestors?

This is a matter for the Bourbon-Parma's or perhaps the Count of Paris to decide.

Marengo, The Count d'Evreux wanted his eldest Son tittled Duc de Nemours as He was very close to him and the Duke died without Descendence.
The Actual Count de Paris tittled him Duc d' Anjou such as the Duke of Cadix Son . This was really stupid !
