2 AUGUST 2005

Morocco's much-loved Princess Lalla Salma made a bright impression on her subjects when she joined in celebrations to mark the sixth anniversary of her husband's accession to the throne. Dressed in a vibrant green caftan which perfectly complemented her flowing red locks, the former computer scientist appeared on the balcony of the royal palace in the northern city of Tetouan to watch the festivities.

I luv how she loves her son and encourages him. She will definitely be influential in his life and her son will love her for it. But I hope, and I am sure, that she is not a smothering mother. Also, I hope her naturally curly hair comes back. But I like her new style too.

I hope she doesn't get stylized to look like everyone else. Her hair is unique and absolutely gorgeous.

In Africa the weight is good. Moroccan men go gaga for women with as one would put it more veluptuous figures (it's a cultural thing.) Having said that, they love all figures. Also Marriage one has found to inspire a woman to put on a little weight, one could suggest that it means that she's happy. Alhamdhul Illah! No offence is meant by my comments. :)

i love throne day simply for the reason we get to see the women members of the royal family out and about...otherwise we rarely see them (not to say they are not out and about but just that not many pictures are taken of them)...

anyway, lalla salma looks really lovely and her son is sooo cute and so big! Mash'Allah. :)

I understand what you're saying. In my culture, (I'm Filipino) being chubby isn't necessarily a bad thing because if you're just a tad bit bigger, it implied that your family had money to feed you. However, with the influx of American influence, that's not necessarily the case anymore. But for awhile, being chubby was a sign that you were healthy ad your family was better off to-do.

I really like Princess Lalla Salma. Out of all the royal ladies, she's one of my favorites. There's just something different about her that I don't really see with the other royal ladies.

You're filipino! Comusta: How are you? With regard the having a veluptuous figure, I agree Exactly that. Also in Morocco such a figure implies that (Cultural implicatation) the lady in question shall have no problems bearing children. Morever that one's husband will have no cause for complaints and will be more than satisfied with her. Meaning that the marriage shall have longevity.

Furthermore, it is nice to have a veluptuous figure and no tbe judged by certain societies as being either overweight or simply out of shape. It at times has seemed that they fail to realise that every race hasn't the same make up as them. Therefore what would be deemed fattening or overweight to them may be healthy and nurishing to us.

I agree that P Lalla Salma possesess a quality that distinguishes her from her Sisters in-Law (not that her Sisters in-Law aren't distinctive in their own right.) was one of the things, which I noticed about her. I also believe that she uses the negative
