So, if I have correctly understood, the problem is that the Prince of Liechtenstein Foundation cannot be considered, under the Czech law, as the heir of Fürst Franz Josef II and therefore the lands cannot be restituted to the Foundation, isn't it?

Not quite. Prince Franz Josef II was still registered as the owner of the land by mistake (as no one ever erased him from the land register). Based on the Beneš decrees, all lands were taken away from the Prince as well as all other Liechtensteiners (both princely and not princely) after the end of World War II as they were considered to be German. The Princely Family learned about Prince Franz Josef still being registered as the land owner and then claimed their inheritance. The inheritance was then transferred to the Prince of Liechtenstein Foundation. Now the Czech courts ruled that the land wasn't Prince Franz Josef's to begin with (based on the Beneš decrees) and as such there is no inheritance the Princely Family could claim.

Ah ok, so the problem is that the lands were subject to the confiscation, but for some reason the property transfer to the Czech State wasn't registered.
Thank you for the explanation.

The Princely Family announced has announced that tomorrow (5 March 2016) the remains of H.S.H. Princess Alieonor Faye v.u.z. Liechtenstein will be buried in Vaduz.
Princess Alienor Faye was the only child of Prince Rudolf and Princess Tilsin and thus a granddaughter of Prince Philipp (brother of Fürst Hans Adam II) and Princess Isabelle.
The little Princess died aged only 1 year old on 13 December 2015.
The first news at the time of the tragedy reported her name as Alya Nur.

Thank you for this interesting link, @eya! It is surely a catastrophe for the princely house, to be involved in such a huge scandal - since they sit on one of the most important (and precious) art collections of the world.
