Vaduz is just a village with around 5.000 inhabitants. The local hospital in Vaduz (Liechtensteinisches Landesspital
) is a small but modern, well-equipped hospital. I can imagine that for more specialist care, the Liechtensteiners go to Switzerland.
has recently moved to a new building (picture
), before that it was in this building (picture
). In the days of the Austrian monarchy the Princes of Liechtenstein seldom or never were in Liechtenstein by the way. Their main residence was the Palais Liechtenstein
in Vienna (picture
), still owned by the princely family, and their total lands and assets were by far exceeding the size and importance of their ancestral principality in the Alps. It was rare that a Prince of Liechtenstein was born in Liechtenstein sefl. ;-)
