Haven't seen any recent pics of it. I've also been surfing the net hoping to find any pics of the Sovereign's 40th wedding anniversary. Seeger Press has none.

Marie was a lovely bride! I wonder who is in possession of that tiara? That's not the Kinsky that the more recent brides of Liechtenstein have worn.
The tiara is the Liechtenstein Fringe Tiara which was frequently worn by Princess Gina. It was not seen for a long time as Princess Marie almost never wears a Tiara on of the only times was the Wedding-Gala of Alois and Sophie at Nymphenburg in 1993. Perhaps Hereditary princess Sophie will wear it at the pre-wedding Gala of her sister Maria Anna in September. At the wedding Gala for her sister Elisabeth in 2004 she wore the Kinsky Tiara.
It seems that it is also not in the posession of Prince Philipp because his daughter-in-law astrid wore no tiara at her Wedding Day a few years ago.

On another note, National Day is 14 days away. Let the countdown begin!

I think the article is referring to a piece of furniture he bought in 2004 and not this painting.

I know. I absolutely loved the way we're misled by journalistic leads. The purchase happened a couple of years back but refers to how the J&J heiress is still selling off priceless works of art. I'm glad I ran across the article since I had no idea that the family owned any such piece especially for 19 million pounds!

I would think so but am only speculating. However, I did find a pic of the "Badmition Cabinet".

Thanks Kerry, that's one of the best images available of the Cabinet.
The downside is that it doesn't give any sense of scale. The Badminton Cabinet is huge, as in 'gi-normous' - see here.

Warren,
OMG!!! The article said that Mrs. Johnson had moved to a new home and no longer had room for the cabinet. I can truly believe that!

Speaking of art and the Liechtenstein Museum...

Spanish portrait bought by Prince of Liechtenstein detained in UK

The Art Newspaper can reveal that a Spanish painting which the London National Gallery wants to buy is being retained in the UK, since it is part of a “package deal” which is under investigation by H.M. Revenue & Customs (HMRC). The work is the 1577 Portrait of Don Diego, by Alonso Sanchez Coello...

Something about this deal stinks! I think its a ploy to get the painting from the fürst. JMO.

Am I right in saying that in this pic (c/o ViewImages), Prince Hans Adam is sitting next to Imelda Marcos at the funeral of Pope Paul VI?

BeatrixFan,
That has to be! Surely looks like him. I believe that's then First Lady Rosalyn Carter on the other side of her. I remember trying to learn a little about the papacy at this time when I was in elementary school. What struck my interest was how the news reported that there were three different popes in a span of three months.

I found an article that's over a year old but wanted to share it. My question, Since when is it proper for Fürst Hans Adam to be referred to as Crown Prince?

...Visions and strategies for the Liechtenstein financial center, the integration of foreign inhabitants in Liechtenstein society, and the disentanglement of Church and State are some of the most important topics raised by Reigning Prince Hans-Adam II and Hereditary Prince Alois, Prime Minister Otmar Hasler, and Deputy Prime Minister Klaus Tschütscher in their perspectives for the New Year. Other topics include combating unemployment, realizing equal opportunity, family policy, and changes in education policy...
