Haven't seen any recent pics of it. I've also been surfing the net hoping to find any pics of the Sovereign's 40th wedding anniversary. Seeger Press has none.

Marie was a lovely bride! I wonder who is in possession of that tiara? That's not the Kinsky that the more recent brides of Liechtenstein have worn.

The tiara is the Liechtenstein Fringe Tiara which was frequently worn by Princess Gina. It was not seen for a long time as Princess Marie almost never wears a Tiara on of the only times was the Wedding-Gala of Alois and Sophie at Nymphenburg in 1993. Perhaps Hereditary princess Sophie will wear it at the pre-wedding Gala of her sister Maria Anna in September. At the wedding Gala for her sister Elisabeth in 2004 she wore the Kinsky Tiara.
It seems that it is also not in the posession of Prince Philipp because his daughter-in-law astrid wore no tiara at her Wedding Day a few years ago.

I think the article is referring to a piece of furniture he bought in 2004 and not this painting.

I know. I absolutely loved the way we're misled by journalistic leads. The purchase happened a couple of years back but refers to how the J&J heiress is still selling off priceless works of art. I'm glad I ran across the article since I had no idea that the family owned any such piece especially for 19 million pounds!

Thanks Kerry, that's one of the best images available of the Cabinet.
The downside is that it doesn't give any sense of scale. The Badminton Cabinet is huge, as in 'gi-normous' - see here.

That has to be! Surely looks like him. I believe that's then First Lady Rosalyn Carter on the other side of her. I remember trying to learn a little about the papacy at this time when I was in elementary school. What struck my interest was how the news reported that there were three different popes in a span of three months.
