Well she always sits with the Royal family.
Princess Basma and her husband are present at the Sultan's birthday every year. They're obviously very close to the Brunei Royal Family.
The Sultan awarded the Princess with the Most Esteemed Family Order: Laila Utama, at his birthday in 2000 (She's wearing the order in the pictures)

That explains her sitting precedence.

Thanks. Looking forward for the Royal Banquet pictures...

azrinaz looked pretty with the tiara. no pictures of PAIPA Sarah?

Yes Azrinaz looks very good. You'd hardly know that she gave birth just over a month ago. Her tiara is lovely.
There are lots of pictures, including those of the lovely Sarah. I'll be posting them over the next little while.

How many wives does the Sultan have?

Not knowing the Brueni Kingdom well, could someone perhaps list the Sultan's wives, former wives and children? That would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Queen Saleha is the Sultan's first wife. He has six children with her, two sons (the eldest is the Crown Prince) and four daughters. He married his second wife, Mariam, in 1981 and divorced her in 2003. The Sultan has four children with her; two sons, and two daughters. The Sultan married his third and present second wife in August last year. Her name is Azrinaz Mazhar and she gave birth to a son last month.
And if my math is correct, that makes 11 kids in total.

Was Prince Jefri there? Are they in good terms?

Prince Jefri wasn't there. Infact he hasn't been present at major family events for the past few years, including the Crown Prince's wedding in 2004.

The second last paragraph of the article below briefly mentions the circumstances:

Lavish birthday for Brunei ruler

Regional leaders will be among 10,000 guests at a lavish 60th birthday banquet on Saturday for the Sultan of Brunei, one of the world's richest men.

Thousands of schoolchildren lined the streets of the capital Bandar Seri Begawan on Saturday as he arrived in his Rolls-Royce for a troop inspection.

The festivities began early this month and continue until 18 August.

The leaders of the Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand and Singapore are among those attending the banquet, the high point of the festivities, at the sultan's Nurul Iman palace. BBC News

Is the lady dressed in red and walking with His Majesty in front of his wives the President of the Phillippines?

Also, is it me or does the second wife not look too happy?
